You go and have yourself a wonderful time. Just because you are married to a man who doesn't know how to save, does not obligate you to be the one who foots the whole bill with nothing for yourself. Take that vacation hon, and make sure you take lots of pics to show him on what he is missing. Tell him that if he wishes to go on a vacation, that maybe he should work harder so that he can reward himself. Have a good time in Europe!

Since I have been single I have seen more places and done more fun things because then men I was with were broke jokes too, spending money on either golf or electronics!

However, seems like you two are definitely not working as a team and the scorekeeping will get to you after a while....

You are going by yourself??? Going with someone else? I would be upset if my husband went without me. You should find a way to help him save so that you both can spend time together. Tell him you want him to contribute because you want to take a vacation WITH him, don't punish him for being a poor saver, help him. You say you want to do something for yourself; now it just looks like a true reward for you is spending time by yourself. You value that more than spending time with your husband.

What you should do is ask yourself why are you married to this man.It looks like you don't need him for anything, and you will probably have a good time in Europe without him. After your trip take a good look at your life I think its time to make some changes.
