Marriage & Divorce - 2 May 2007

I have been a stay at home mother for the last 4 years of my life. I did this for my 3 wonderfull daughters...(5,3,and almost 2)..My husband is abusive towards me (God, I hate the way that sounds, but I guess it's the truth that's always hardest to swallow)...anyhow I don't currently have a job, which means that if I did leave...I have $0 to my name. Do you think it would be wrong of my to hang around here for a while longer. One of my friends informed me that she would be able to baby sit for me free of charge...Then another friend informed me that he could get me a job at the resterant he is the Manager at. Anyhow my main question is....do you think it would be wrong of me to pretend that everything is A.O.K. just long enough to get a place of my own and some money in the bank???. My friend who is getting me the job is going to have me work while my husband is at work...so he wouldn't even know!

I have been in long term relationships before and am 'normal' in that I do get sexually attracted..to men, and enjoy intimacy but I have never enjoyed penetration.. and have always found it very painful..
Honestly if I never had intercourse again I would not miss it.

It has been 2 years now since I was last in a relationship..and I have closed myself of from that world...

But at the same time I do miss the other aspects of a relationship, and have always been very domestic and maternal. I really want to have a family and not end up an old maid living alone with her cats..


Please give me advise.. Is it posible to find a husband who doesn't want sex. Or is that a given thing in mariage?

I cheated on my wife a year ago, we tried to work past it but she could not leave it alone, every fight we got into she brought it up and help it over my head since then... Now we have been seperated for three months and she has cheated on me, she wants to come back... I am wondering if it will be different since she got it out of her system or will it be the same...? I am not mad at her for doing what she did, i just want to hear it from her mouth... Should we give it another chance?? or will it be the same as always...

I have been married 11 years and together with the father of my children for 15 years. Due to constant financial strain, lack of communication,trust and support and a lot of emotional baggage that has not been resolved I asked my husband to leave the house which we are currently trying to sell. The boys love their father dearly. Sadly he has not called or told them why he is not home and they assume he is at work. I have asked my husband to sit down and explain our situation together but he will not. I don't want to lie to them, but I don't know how I should go about this. If anyone who has gone through separation or divorce and has had to deal with telling their child/children could shed some insight that would be really appreciated.

Hubby discovered e-mails, printed them & gave them to my parents. I don't think I did anything wrong. I'm not happy in my marriage & haven't been happy for a couple of years. Two children are the reason I have stayed. I'm not upset about him finding the e-mails - I've become emotionally detached in the marriage. I view this as my chance to leave the marriage - but I'm conflicted because of the children & financial obligations. I know Hubby will never trust me again & I travel a lot so I don't look forward to being constantly watched & questioned for the rest of my life. I've never cheated on Hubby after dating & being married for 10 years. I feel that if I want to leave the marriage, now is the time. If I don't, I'll never leave & be stuck in an unhappy marriage for the rest of my life - which will probably affect my children. I'd appreciate comments/insights on what to do to make the best/right decision.

I understand that my husband goes to work everyday and busts his @$$ to put food on our table and take care of me and our son. I greet him at the door everyday with a big kiss and a " Hi, Honey! How was your day?" I give him his space and let him relax. I make him dinner and normally a friend or two of his will stop by. Then he puts our 1 year old son to sleep, and that's about it. Did I forget to mention that he is a complete slob? We're young (im 18 hes 21) I understand this is not what he expected so soon, but neither did I. We're both keeping up our end of the 'deal' but I feel unappreciated. It seems I do everything and get no help or appreciation. He thinks because I stay home all day Im not working as hard as he is and thats bull. I've tryed not doing anything and handing the baby off when he walks in the door, but I get more resistance, and we talked and came to an "agreement" but it feels like hes got the better deal. How do I get him to appreciate me and 'want' to help???

ok to make a long story short, my wife and i have been arguing for almost a month now and finally i just decided to stop talking about it. she was threatning to leave and finally i just said what the heck i cant do anything about it so if she wants to go then so be it! she refusing to have any intimate contact with me even though we sleep in the same bed. we do talk, but that is about it! i mentioned the sex thing and she says she doenst care. so how long would you all put up with this situation. my son is 14 and i hate to lose him. she thinks that she is going to get full custody even thought my son wants to live with me!! what do you all think??????????

Would you be pissed off if your husband hugged his ex gf that he hasn't seen for years right in front of you? My wife is mad because I seen my ex who I haven't seen in years approached me and Iwe hugged, it was more or less like old freinds who havent seen each other in a long time. He is the father of my children and is not an easy person to live with, I know he is no good for me and we have been apart for several years, but I still hold some hope in my heart, yet he shows no signs of the same feelings, I don't want to still love him. My man loves porn. But it's not just the movies...it's mostly about the women. He looks up particular porn stars that he wants to see and I even caught him looking at teen porn. (He will be 28 this summer.) And he loves female body builders that pose nude! Now Im to the point where I feel like he might be comparing me to these whores(physically) and so I don't like him looking at me naked anymore. I just got married 3 months ago, and everything is going great. Well, the other day he went to the doctor for a checkup and the doctor told him he was overweight (which we already knew...but I don't mind) He came home and told me, and when I said "I like a guy who's big and cuddly," he said "Yeah, we've both gotten fat together." I was like "What do you mean?" but he was like "Well, you know that you've put on a lot of weight since the wedding too right?" But, I didn't know that! He apparently has noticed, so I'm wondering if he thinks I should lose weight, or if he's fine with me the way I am. Picture from only 1 week ago is in 360, tell me if you think I look overweight. I'm not a supporter of living together before marriage because of my spiritual beliefs. Thing is, my boyfriend of a year and a half needs a place to stay for ~2 months while his apartment is renovated. We are students, and his rent is about to rise tremendously, but he doesn't want to renew the lease because he is on the list for this new apartment. There is just a ~ 2 month interim inbetween. Would it be considered "living together" if I let him sleep in a separate bedrooom and camp here for that interim until his place opens. All of his stuff would be in storage until then.
