He is the father of my children and is not an easy person to live with, I know he is no good for me and we have been apart for several years, but I still hold some hope in my heart, yet he shows no signs of the same feelings, I don't want to still love him. Why do i feel this way. It actually hurts on top of it especially when he talks about seeing other women. Maybe I just need to find the right man for myself and get over him.

I have tried dating and maybe I have chosen really bad dates subconciously, maybe I keep comparing them to him.
Maybe I should sit down with him and tell him whats on my mind, not to get him back but to get it off my chest and to tell him I don't want to hear about these stupid and imature love affairs, he keeps complaining about not finding a good woman and yet here I sit. I don't cheat and am old fashioned when it comes to taking care of the family, ok I am sorry I might not be the prettiest woman around but am not grotesquely ugly and am far from over weight. Maybe he likes the stupid bimbos who cheat on him.

You can't make your heart love someone else it's hard but just tell him once and only once when you tell him don't have sex with him right then and there see how he reacts to the situation and if he doesn't respond the way you want him too then move on get a guy that is nice and romantic in so many different ways and stick with him he will make you forget that you even had an ex all you will remember is that your baby has a father but I'm joking you will remember him and there is nothing wrong with reminiscing on the past... SMILE...

Time heals all wounds. And maybe you have not given yourself time to heal. The hardest lesson to learn when you love someone is that they are their own person and can't be easily changed. Oh, if we had the power to change people, but we don't. But, the biggest mistake is finding someone to help get your mind off your ex. The best thing to do is heal and when your ready move on. Find things to help get your mind off him like writing or reading, and you can also do positive things with your children like going to the zoo. And one day, without you even knowing you will eventually forget all about him and you'll wondered how it happened. You deserve someone to love and respect you without being mistreated. You'll see. Look at it like this he is making room for the right man to come in your life.

I know it's really hard to see your ex with someone else. It always is. And a part of you will always be in love with him. He was such a great part of your life, that it wouldn't be logical for you to just forget about him and all of your feelings together. He's the father of your children on top of it all - he helped give you your greatest gift in all the world. And for that you can't stop loving him. It's a part of divorce that's always hard - letting go of someone thats been with you through a lot.
You should try and let go of your feelings for him. Try and casually date around to get your mind off your feelings for him, and then try and find the right man for yourself.
Don't worry, once you get your mind and heart somewhere besides on him you'll feel a lot better.

It's not hard leaving someone who you once loved so much. People are constantly craving affection and until you discover a person who can give you the affection you deserve, you will continue to crave the person that you know once did give you that affection. It might not be that you still love him, but you might just want affection that you know he once gave you. Find another man that gives you what you want and afterwards I am sure you will wonder what you ever saw in your ex.

I like to think of love like you are closing your eyes and opening your heart. The problem with this is your heart is blind to practicallity. It thinks you can mend any argument and anything can be fixed with love. The reality however isnt always that convenient.
I find that reminding yourself of why you broke up with the other half helps you move away. Its sort of like quitting smoking :)

There is no real answer for this you cant just choose to not love someone anymore. And him being the father of your children makes you emotionally attached to him. It takes people time to heal and get over things. Just have faith that in time you will be able to move on.

It's just the way nature is. Apes have more emotions to other apes they've lived with for awhile, so it's naturally like that. Eventually you will get over him, and move on. Don't worry, it's hard to get over someone you love, and it will take time.

I assume, he is your first love, because you have it bad. After several years, the emotion should have started to wear out, by now. I think you should just get on with your life, because it doesn't look like he wants you in his.

of course u are still going to love him....u nd him have something special thatb u share and love uncoditionally.......if u still love him and want to get back with him y dont u ask him and get it ova with....but decide to take things slow and instead of straigth away going to live with each other again
