because they are compensating for something....nah jk they probably dont have the love between them that you and your family do, so they make it up in material items.

I dont know, People are rude. Sometimes people dont realize it isnt all about the money, but more about your happiness which should included family friends and love. If they have all of that the they should be happy with themselves and not be trying to make themselves look better. But some people work hard for their things, like i do. I love abercrombie. It doesnt mean i am stuck up or i am trying to look better. I just like how they fit me beter than other stores because its hard to find my size. So sometimes, people work hard for what they have and are proud. As long as they arent parading around i dont think they are doing any harm to anyone.

Designer clothes, fancy cars, and big expensive houses dont impress me. I think that most people simply are not impressed by flashy people. I like my life to be simple without the huge payments that come along with trying to live the high life. I know alot of people that try to live beyond their means and who would want that kind of stress. Not me that's for sure.

Is it really that they feel superior? Or do you just feel inadequate? Most of these people, including myself, have worked hard for every penny, and take pride in our accomplishments. I love the sports car, work truck, recreational vehicles, vacations and yes, the huge 5000 sq. ft. house. It's my reward for years of sacrifice and hard work.
And my tax bill is a constant reminder that I support the many thousands that are content to stay home, collect welfare and make illegitamate babies.

That is simply the way they think and perhaps the way they were brought up. Try not to let things like that bother you. Be happy cause they're probably not.

It's called "conspicuous consumerism," or in layman's terms, being an attention whore.
I'd rather brag about how much money I saved rather than how much I wasted!

They don't think they're better. They count their blessings and work hard for a living. Isn't that the way its done? Or are we supposed to live off of welfare and complain about people that work for a living?

THAT IS WHAT U CALL MATERIALISTIC PEOPLE.
REMEMBER MONEY CAN NOT BRING HAPPINESS.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE MONEY STOPS
COMING IN ? THERE WILL BE A DOWNFALL AND
THEIR WORLD THAT THEY ARE USE TO WILL
COME TO AND END. ALSO REMEMBER ALL
GOOD THINGS COME TO AN END.......................
WE WILL HAVE OUR'S ONE DAY............. BUT
WE WILL NOT FLAUNT IT TO EVERYONE........
