New to the site / forums - TIA for your patience...

Basically, I feel im at a dead end now in my marriage.
I've listened, communicated my feelings, cried, gotten angry,
tried ignoring things that bother me, made changes she requested of me, withdrawn, now i just feel burnt out & depressed...

The one thing I have asked for is
to feel like were in an actual relationship together.
For some appreciation, and some time together.

I have explained that I dont understand how i can be in a marriage & yet feel so alone. I just want companionship.

Her Reactions when im trying to talk to her about these things is usually acting uninterested & going to sleep while I'm left vulnerable & hurt...

Sorry for the long rant... but what should I do from here?
just suck it up & be unhappy?

We have 2 kids, 1 of them from her previous relationship.

But the thing is I don't know if he is willing to put up with me for those 9 months. I never been pregnant so I have no clue on how I am going to be. Will he still love me? And help me through this?

Whenever my husband goes to the store or to run errands and I ask him for the totals he always tells me wrongs amounts. I find out the next day when I check the bank account the correct amounts as well as that he actually used the debit card to pay for everything instead of paying for some things with cash. This bothers me because I pay the bills and try to keep the account in good standing and him spending more than he tells me messes things up. He lies about how much he spends and he lies about how much he actually deposits. Plus he withdrawals money for no reason. And ok...so he wants money in his pocket...that's fine. But not when I just told him we barely have anything in the account and on top of going to the store he takes out extra money. I just don't understand why he keeps lying to me...is he hiding something? He leaves for basic soon and we'll be apart for a long time after only being married a few months...this really upsets me and bothers me. Can I trust him?

A guy I work with had been showing a lot of interest in me a couple of months ago, and it continued for that amount of time. There were serious stares, lingering glances, trying to run into me, dropping hints, etc. Still, it was clear that nothing could happen because of company policies. I showed interest back, just not as clearly, but he knew I was interested as well. Then , as soon as he reviewed my work and gave it a lot of compliments (the first time he was exposed to it, and he really liked it), he changed. He doesn’t try to talk to me anymore when he walks by, he avoids looking into any room I’m in, he gets nervous when we do talk (whereas before, he was very outgoing and energetic when we talked). He has been SO proper to me, and before he was so “carefree”. A couple of days ago, though, in a conversation I made a really good point in convincing a third person, and he was looking at me with a big smile on his face (and in his eyes!), he seemed to really admire the way I showed my knowledge. But, overall, my behavior hasn’t changed at all. I wasn’t showing any more interest than usual, I was treating him like I always did – so, it’s not like I acted clingy and scared him off, or gave him the cold shoulder. And, I know for a fact that he is NOT seeing or wanting anyone, so no change there either.

A friend of mine said that, once he started to admire me, he stopped seeing me as just another “pretty” face, and that he’s keeping his distance because he’s afraid of what could happen between us. He really WAS very interested before, and yes, it would be a dangerous relationship – but is my friend right?! Or do men simply lose interest just like that??

My daughter has a learning disability. She has a boyfriend, drives a car and works 30 to 38 hours a week with the public. I have paid dutifully for years, even though my daughter does not care to have a relationship with me. I feel as though it is time for her to stand on her own. Many kids are venturing out in the working world, making minimum wage. I feel as though she should pay her dues, just like the rest of us! It may cause her to pick herself up and go back to school. If not, she is making the choice as to the kind of life she will lead. I am trying to find presidence as to NYS cases on child support!

My boyfriend and I have been together for about eight years and we have a two year old daughter together. While I was pregnant he cheated on me and pushed me away. He was in prison for the first year and a half of my daughters life and during that time i had an other boyfriend. while locked up he begged me to come back to him and give him a chance to be a family. I had moved to Austin and was doing good! when he came out I decided to give it a try and left my bf and moved back to Houston. Now he says he's not ready and he's sorry for having me move back. He says he needs space and he still wants to have fun. I am just hurt to where it's unbearable and I don't know if I should stay and prove to him that I love him or just walk out and leave that behind me. I do love him but he sometimes doesn't come home and a few times he's come home with hickeys on his chest. I know i told him I would give him space... What do I do?

you just fell in love or feel a connection without planning it? If you are unhappy in your life but don't want to leave due to kids or maybe you just aren't ready... is it really that bad to have an affair with someone that makes you happy? Can it be justified?

My stepdaughter is 6 and when she comes on weekends she loves to play with her dolls. But her dolls are always in trouble. She tells her dolls " you look me in the eyes and show respect when I am speaking" or speaks hatefully "you are so bad that you can't do anything now you lay there and don't say another word". She never says anything nice to the child and never hugs and kisses like my children do. I don't know if because she's 6 and mine are 1 and 2 that it makes a difference or something more is going on. Every time we pick her up or drop her off her mom hugs and kisses her so I don't know what to think. Am I the only one concerned or should I just brush it off. I think her mom is warping her mind?

He has not made a decision to move yet, and I understand that he has the right to if he so decide. The father of my oldest son is taking me to court to force our son to make a decision. I lost my job, but it was sent over seas. I have been approved for TAA benefits to go back to school. I and my current husband worked for the same company, now we live on unemployment. I want to go to school to improve my skills and find a job that has less of a chance of this happening again. So, how can I pay child support or how much will I have to pay if my son moves. Help!!!

All I ask is that my meal is on the table when I come home from work and the house is kept clean and tidy. She says she is my wife not my maid and if I want that I should hire a maid but **** that. I pay all the bills its the least she can do.

We both work but I work harder than her and her job is only part time so she has plenty of time to do these things. I even have to do my own laundry and iron them myself.

How can I get her to do as she is told. If any guys answer..How did you train your wife to do these things ?

13 yrs together (10 married), 4 kids, and an alcoholic hubby who drinks 6+ beers every nite and 10+ on the weekends (each day), passes out by 10pm every nite. He comes home from work and ignores us to "unwind" by drinking and playing video games until he is in couch commando mode. He only parents when my yelling gets on his nerves, then he starts yelling. He has a full social life of bowling, going to races, lodge, while I must stay home. If I leave I must ask first, state when , where, and how long...take kids w/ me. If a friend wants to go out w/ my they ask his permission first and then play 20 questions about our whereabouts. I have no life. I am numb to him. I don't want this life for me and my kids, and its been like this way to long. I am dying inside. . I love him, but am not in love, and can't try to work it out anymore. He thinks we are fine. He has tried to sober up, but it never lasts longer than 3-5 days. I am worried about what will happen to him if I go.

My bf and I have been living together for a year and have been dating for two and a half or so, been friends for 5ish years. I'm starting to think about marriage and we've talked about it. We're both essentially anti-religious, and he says that since he doesn't go for the church thing, he sees no point to marriage other than financial benefits or if children are involved. I am fine with waiting for a while, but want it to happen eventually. Short from having kids (which is NOT my plan), is there anything I can do to nudge him along?

Has anyone had this experience, if so, how did you handle it/what ended up happening? In anticipation of some of your answers, yes, I can wait, but I don't see why we can't be engaged for a while.
