Ok heres thething. Me and my husband have been separated for a while and I want a divorce from the lying bastard. However I am active duty military and I get paid about $1,100 more a month for my pay if I stay legally married. Plus I won't have to livein the barracks. What should I do?

As long as the two of you are separated, you're not TOGETHER anyway, so, from an economic point of view, it makes sense to stay married. The only benefit to getting divorced in your case, is if you want to get remarried, and you don't indicate that you do. I say, "What's the rush?" Once your tour of duty is over, then get divorced.

What do you want a divorce more or be free of this man? If your okay with the way it is now until you get off active duty than I would wait, but that is entirely up to you about how you feel. If me and I could get the more money for legally being married, but not have the hassle of him I would wait.
