No one can force a child to to anything, espcially when they are all grown up and can make decisions on their own. Now as parents we can give you advice and try to help you stay on a good path but no one can force you to do anything you don't want to do. Sometimes an older parent will tease and say when are you going to give me some grandbabies but that doesn't mean you have to run right out to do it. I love my children with all my heart and soul and they are not even thinking marriage of children but when and if they ever decide they wanted to do it or not do it, I'll be there for support.

I can't MAKE my children get married or have kids. That is a decision they have to make. With the divorce rate as high as it is, I want my child to be certain that marriage is what they want, and that the person they are with is absolutely the best match for them. Regarding children - couples don't think long and hard enough about their decision to bring a child into this world. They don't realize what a lifetime commitment it is to have children. I love my child, and wouldn't change a thing, but having kids isn't for everyone, and it's definitely a personal decision only the couple can make.

I will probably want my children to be well-adjusted enough to marry and have kids, but I won't "make" them in any way other than by raising them well.

Once your children become adults you can't MAKE them do anything. Whether she get's married or has children is totally up to my daughter.

No Way! My three, two of which ARE married and have kids, made their own minds up. The third one is now 27, unmarried, and happy. What MORE could a Daddy ask for?

Our son is 30, got married and has a son.
We never pressured him to do either.
He probably liked what he saw for parental models and thought marriage and children was a pretty good life.

That is a personal decision. If they don't want to marry or have kids, that is their business.

In my country (America), there is no way to force anyone to marry nor to have kids. I'm glad I don't live wherever YOU live!
