I'm 23 - she was married to my dad for 25 years. He left her and she is now becoming a beautifully independent woman. She is marrying her college sweetheart this winter and I want to get them something "special" and not on their registery. Any thoughts? I love them both and want it to be more than a note or letter. Something thoughtful and well organized. A scrapbook is already being made by his daughter. I would gladly devote time and energy to create something wonderful....but can't think of a place to start!??!?!?!

My hubby and I have made it pass the seven year itch. YEAH!!! But sometimes I look over at him and wonder who he is. We're close in those few moments that really count- but sometimes I feel so disconnected. What can I do to help us rebond? Not looking so much on the intimate side as the everyday communication side. We are starting to live seperate lives... We have no kids, so the common ground is the house and the dog.

This morning after cooking my husbands breakfast I put his plate down on the table and I was about to go pour him a cup of coffee but then the baby started crying so I had to run upstairs and I forgot all about it because I had to breastfeed her and change her diaper. While I was doing this my husband walked out the door and told me that I forgot to pour him his coffee and that I was a bad wife because I didn't take care of him. I told him I didn't mean to but he just slammed the door. I called him up later at work but he said he wouldn't talk to me until he got home tonight. I've been feeling so sad today and have had spells of crying and thinking I will never be a good wife even though I try so hard :(

Our 20th anniversary is coming up at the end of the month. I don’t want to just go out and just buy jewelry or a gift certificate. I would like to give her a gift a day for the week leading up to the anniversary.
So far I have 1. Flowers, 2. manicure/pedicure certificate from her favorite spa, 3. Chef's dinner in the kitchen of an Italian restaurant.
Any other ideas? What would make you happy?

I have the most amazing boyfriend who I love very much and have been engaged to for almost a year and a half. W ehave been together for almost five years. We have two kids so things arent the same as when we first met. We have had our moments and fights like all couples do, nothing out of the ordinary but we always work things out and everything is fine.
But then there is this side of me that has the hardest time dealing with being tempted. Once or twice I have met someone else who sparked my interest who I have been very attracted to. I havent cheated but sometimes I think i could if I knew I wouldnt get caught. There is someone right now who I have been talking to and hanging out with. I dont want to ever leave my boyfriend but I love the way I feel when I'm with someone new.. I love being persued.. I get so bored of having sex with the same person year after year even if the sex is great.. it still not as exciting as it would be if its with someone else... what is wrong with me?

...i did. after 7 years of marriage, and that's how my husband and i knew that the relationship was over. He said,"that's ok, if you don't love me anymore"... that was a horrible day, but an eye-opener to reality too.

Do you ever get "dressed up" for the bedroom? Ever suprise your wife wearing sexy new boxers or your uniform or other uniform you know would make her hot? Or is it always the same boxers/briefs? By the same token does she get dolled up for you? If she does, why not get a little extra spark sometime? Would you feel cheesey? Or are you just unsure what you'd wear?

My best friend was recently divorced and I want to cheer her up. Her husband was a p#@*k but she didn't know he was satan until the divorce started. Now she's pretty depressed (not about losing him, but she got screwed in the settlement). I would like to send her something relevant to cheer her up. Maybe a voodoo doll or some other clever fun gift that would make her laugh. Any ideas?

My wife told me last night that she is in love with another man. She says that she wants to get divorced so she can be with him. He is a co-worker of hers. We have 2 young children together. I don not want to get divorced, I still love her and want to make our marriage work. What should I do?

Often times about 5 minutes after we have sex my husband will get on top of me and pee all over me. I usually just smile and pretend I enjoy it but I really don't. I asked him one time why he does that and he said he is just marking his territory. My husband is 30 years old and I am 19, and I know the man is supposed to be in charge but I just wish he could show his authority over me another way. I don't want to sound like a bad wife complaining to him about this so I need to find a nice way to ask this of him. I just don't want to get to get him upset and I don't want him to punish me. Please help!

Im afraid my husband is depressed but has told me he wont get help. He has had multiple jobs and has found a excuse on why he should quit. So i have supported him thru everything trying to be a supportive wife. I have also always paid for everything i have a really good carreer and and i dont mind but i would like bigger and better things and when he quit his last job it has taken him 3 weeks to even look for one. he has had 3 interviews and found a reason why not to take them. He also does nothing around the house and sends are daughter to daycare. i am starting to get really frustrated and am having a hard time respecting him. He tells me i nag at him too much so it makes him not want to do anything. More excuses. I would have no problem if he watched our daughter every now and then and picked up around the house. He also acts like a child very immature always teasing me and driving me nuts. What can i do to motivate him? i feel like i dont want him in the house too frustrating.

I recently got married in May and my husband is an easy going and benevolent guy. He's been really irascible lately. Two weeks ago after work he was really horny but I was tired. He pushed me against the wall and shoved his hands up my shirt. I pushed him and he backed off saying "what the f**k is wrong with you?!". Yesterday I was complaining about him leaving his clothes everywhere and he blatantly ignored me b/c he was so immersed in a football game. I got the remote and turned off the tv and he was furious. He pried the remote out of my hand and raised his hand up to hit me but he put it back down. I told my mom but I dont want to listen to her obsolete ways of thinking (men are dominant etc.) Im not afraid of him but things can escalate. What do you think I should do? Genuine answers plz. I guess taking the remote away was irrational.

My ex husband re-married 1 week ago. Last night he stated that he wanted to modify our custody arrangement from 50/50 (1 week w/ me and 1 w/ him) to him having all custody rights and granting me visitation every other weekend, days only.

I was recently assaulted by a neighbor and he is citing this as his primary concern, in addition to the fact that I drink alcohol, which does not interfere in my ability to work, parent, etc...

He quit drinking after an affair he had that ultimately led to our divorce.

I flatly refused his "offer" and told him that he is free to take me to court. I live a quiet stable lifestyle and have been my sons primary caretaker since birth..My child is 9...any opinions?
