Our 20th anniversary is coming up at the end of the month. I don’t want to just go out and just buy jewelry or a gift certificate. I would like to give her a gift a day for the week leading up to the anniversary.
So far I have 1. Flowers, 2. manicure/pedicure certificate from her favorite spa, 3. Chef's dinner in the kitchen of an Italian restaurant.
Any other ideas? What would make you happy?

That sounds really nice so far, I would like all those things. Since you are at the 20 year mark how about something from your first date, something that reminds you of the first time you met, something from that place, or a little story book or poem of when you met and how you are more in love now..

You're going about it the wrong way . You should
go to the cruise agency.
get the agency to make speacial arrangements to celebrate anniversary on board
does not have to be a long journey
give her the tin card with your name and let her chose an expensive gift on board, 20th anniversary will be the one she will rememberthe most for the rest of your very long marriage stay happy
Congrats to both.

Well, all this is really great.
Evening out (music, theatre, musical, whatever she likes)
Jewelry is always nice, unless she already gets loads from you (even then, I don't know, she may still like it)
Night or week-end away in a special place with you, she may like this.
I would be happy with any of this, but to be honest, can't remember having had any (not even a card) in 17 years of marriage. So, just to say, you are doing great.

a 20 year anniversary ring, a good old fashioned romp in the sack that lasts longer than 2 minutes, a gold lined gift box with a promise inside saying that you'd be with me for the next 20 years, and let me be in control of the remote for 1 week!! :-)

I'd like to be taken out for a night on the town(maybe a makeover first, and a day at the spa) and when were done going out(clubbin or a real fancy dinner) stay in one of them ritzy hotels and sit in a hot tub or whirlpool, and stay the night!

Depends on what she likes I guess... I always ask my husband to ditch the flowers and just bring me cash. We usually get each other practical gifts; iPods, cool t-shirts, computer-related stuff, MMORPG gift certificates. But we're dorks.

Cook her a nice supper, clean the whole house, write little notes around the house to make her laugh, wash her car..... Women love that stuff and it doesn't cost money. Sounds like you are treating her great! Not too many husbands out there like yours. Fortunately, mine is like you!

You didn't say if you had any kids, but if you do,make arrangements for someone to take the kids for the weekend and then take your wife to a nice Bed & Breakfast and spend the weekend just relaxing and enjoying each others company.

Does she get her hair done? Perhaps make her an appointment with her hair dresser (and pay in advance) for her usual treatment like a perm or straighten, hair color? If she doesn't go to the hair salon, your mani/pedi idea was a good one.

You have done some nice things already, but if it were me, I know you said you didn't want to buy jewelry, but it would be so nice if you took her wedding rings and had an extra diamond or something special done to them......maybe engrave something to her in her wedding band.......that would do it for me.
