My best friend was recently divorced and I want to cheer her up. Her husband was a p#@*k but she didn't know he was satan until the divorce started. Now she's pretty depressed (not about losing him, but she got screwed in the settlement). I would like to send her something relevant to cheer her up. Maybe a voodoo doll or some other clever fun gift that would make her laugh. Any ideas?

I dunno, I think the best gift would be something that would take her mind off of things. Take her out to a restaurant, to a club, something like that. Hanging out with a friend is the best way to lift one's mood.

Or try to get her back into meeting guys - take her out places and keep her among people.

I think taking her out for a nice dinner is a good idea. Do it right--get all dressed up, maybe go get her nails done first, and then have a relaxing meal and a bottle of her favorite wine, so that she feels good about herself, and good about being free to spend time with other people, instead of moping around and worrying about her troubles.

She may have gotten screwed in the settlement...but I'm sure it was worth it getting rid of him!

Well when I got my divorce from my prick...I sent him a dozen of dead roses, our wedding pictures cut in half and the wedding band back. Sent it special delivery so I knew for sure he got them... It made me feel a hell of alot better, and by the way we were divorced on valentines day...best gift I could think of.... Tell her to smile and keep her chin up..better things are around the corner for her..

A dart board with the ex picture in the middle... maybe some flowers, a nice dinner and a good movie would probably help.

i didn't know there was such a thing as a divorce gift...lol get her away from it all! helps to relax the mind if you are just away from the stressful situation.
