Or should I just call her instead? She is a client, if I can't talk to her, how do I get work?

A call would be more professional....

(Is THIS one of those rare, but, serious questions??)

Now you and I both know that if it were just "work" that was involved here, the fact that you are married and texting instead of calling would never have come to a head here. Be honest with yourself. If it were just work, there wouldn't be a question for you to ask! You answered your own question. If there are your own selfish motives involved, then no, it isn't ok. It is cheating. It is stepping out on the woman that you promised to honor and cherish. Not cool. If there are feelings for this "other woman" you better examine very closely exactly what it is you want out of your marriage, and wether or not it is important enough to you to go find work somewhere else. If it is important enough, you will decide that work/ your female client can take a backseat, and find yourself someone else to invest your time and interest into that won't be a threat to your marriage. Good luck and God Bless.

Why do you feel as if you need to text message her? Do your wife know about her? I'm going to save you from, you and your wife getting into an argument. Listen carefully....tell your wife about it. Text messaging a woman would have your wife thinking that you are hiding something, sneaking around. You don't need that. Let your wife know she is a client and then invest in a business phone for all your clients.

As long as you're talking business, then you're ok. If you can openly text message or call her when your wife is standing next to you, then you obviously have nothing to hide. It's the secrecy that is going to get you in trouble. Nothing kills a marriage faster than doubt. I personally would call your client and cancel out all possible doubt. Text messaging is not very professional.

Is your wife bothered? Are you talking a lot? There are lot of questions that can go along with this. My boyfriend has a couple friends that are girls and they call him and chat. Personally I donot care because I trust him. My boyfriend & I both are in the business of talking with clients even on the weekends on occasion so I would say it is ok. Business is business. Good Luck

Any Work related issues are fine to:

Text
E-mail
Call
Drop by

When it becomes flirting or something non - business then it is disrespectful not only to your wife but your job and the other woman’s reputation as well.

As long as you're using protection I think you should go for it.

Remember, your phone must have an approved plastic cover to prevent unwanted spillages. Ask your wife to put it on for you before you go all the way with your client.

For added fun, swap phones with your wife. A little excitement is sure to spice up your marriage.

If she is a client, then you should pick up the phone and call her. only text message her if she requested you to.

Make your own judgement. If you are doing it for work and your wife knows about it then I think youre okay. But if you feel its somthing you have to keep from your wife i'm sure you know the answer to that!! Keep in mind if this QUESTION is worth loosing your marrage over!

If it's only about work, what are you asking the question for. Clearly you have other intentions. If it really is just about work, you should let your wife know and if she has a problem with it, then you should deal with that head on...dont try to just do it behind her back. it makes you look sneaky.

As long as it is work-related and nothing else, I don't see what the problem is. But doing it to flirt with her is wrong and I can see why your wife would be upset over that. Just be careful.
