I had an emotional affair with someone close to me and my husband. It ended over 2 months ago, but my husband just found out last saturday. I am devastated and am willing to do whatever it takes to keep our marriage alive. I ended the affair because i realised that i loved my husband more than life and i wanted to make our rocky marriage work. Is there any chance of a marriage surviving an emotional affair? I have no intentions of ever seeing the man again and my husband says he loves me and wants to believe nothing physical happened... so can this work out?

A friend has been living with a man for over 10 years, were never married, and they have a child together. They are now experiencing BIG TIME problems. I'm sure that they would have got a divorce if they had been married. Does she have a "lawful" leg to stand on? How do the courts look at this? When they part ways, does she have any rights or are they forfeited? I don't know if the laws differ state to state, but they live in Illinois. What are or are not her rights (or lack of.) Thanks.

while he is living with his mom ( I am the step mom ) and the mom is joining in on the bashing rather than correcting it ( things said are like "I don't like dad any more.", all because dad refuses to buy the kid everything he wants, because he chose to live with his mom, should I tell my husband? Or would it be to hurtful and cruel to say something and just keep my mouth shut?

Me and my ex have been seperated for about 6 years now. When we seperated we had two kids and worked out an agreement for child support without involving DSS..I offered her 100 buxs a week child support,Medical ins for the kids(70 buxs aweek),Dental ins 8 buxs aweek,,paid her cellphone and car ins for 3 years, gave her the car, paid for a swimming pool membership for her and the kids,Have given her money in adition to that for various other bills. Not to mention gave her the money for the downpayment on the house she bought when we broke up. I put 10 buxs a week into each of my kids savings account not to mention the things i buy them when they are with me.After three years of this i asked if i could claim one of my kids on taxes..She stated that i did not do enough to deserve claiming one of the kids.I told her to turn me into DSS which she did and she lost 2000 buxs a year in my help. She only pays 100 buxs a month for child care through DSS..I feel i did more than enough..How bout you

We always hear about help for single moms but todays society is growing in numbers of single dad parents and I am one of them. Ex has lived with more men than I can count in the last 5 years, filed bankruptcy and worked cash jobs while living on the support of the men she lives with or can con and has made no attempt to help in the financial part of raising the kids. Welfare says I own too much for help but how can you own too much when you are paying notes on everything you "own"? Help!!!!

We have a 6 year old daughter. She's very good at saying "I hope you die" and then laughing impishly if she is reprimanded. I don't know where she got it except shes been spending time at our neighbors who have 2 unruly and disrespectful kids. She doesn't say it to me but she has said it to my husband before he leaves for work, because she hasn't had her way about something. The 1st time she said it we were shocked. The 2nd time she said it, about 3 weeks ago, he got despondent and hasn't come out of it yet. My sunny, handsome and smart, always slightly amused young husband has suddenly turned into someone I no longer know. The beautiful light in his eyes that I fell in love with is gone. His eyes are lifeless now and he has lost interest in EVERYTHING in the course of 3 weeks. When he comes home he smiles and kisses me and walks off to do his own thing, but even his smile is dull and lifeless now. I don't know what to do to get my husband back? Can anyone give me some advice? THANKS

The main question I have about it, if I get married my name will be different from my passport, will I still be able to use it if it's not my "legal" name anymore. I know I will be changing all my documents, but it won't be till after my honeymoon of course...

My divorce happened very quickly (six months ago). I do not see my ex very often - maybe once a week when he drops off our kids - but it is very strange. I look at him and see a stranger. Is this normal? Will it last? Can you ever be friends when they cheated on you and are now living with the other woman? Do you get past the hurt and anger? Right now I can not see that happening. Maybe with time?

Husband hve been cheating (serious affair + online girl friends), so have filed divorce. But hope relationship stay amicable as there is a 1 year old son n we prob will be stying in the same house for the next 9 months. Have told him I know. He have flared up/shut down whenever the subject of affair or divorce is brough up even though he is the one who say he wanted it when I told him I know. He has since prentend nothing has happened and continue to lie /cover up when he go dating etc. He is going on a week end escapade which he cover up as a company outing.

Planning to tell him before that. Should I
1. just inform him I have filed a matter of factly
2. Tell him I have give it some thought and it is best for us to split asap and hence I have filed
3. tell him to go tell his married lover the good news and wish him a happy weekend

any other way to tell?

it seems to me that women believe that in the beginning of a relationship, the can screw a mans brains out but once the I LOVE U's are said then the sex can stop, cuz as women think, "if u love me then sex should not matter", then when a man has had enough of the mind games and either screws around or leaves then its all his fault, and she did nothing wrong. opinions pls male and female

Today my 6 yr old daughter was playing with some neighbor kids, so I went to introduce myself to their mothers. When I walked over they completely ignored me, and just left me standing there like an idiot. Is it just me or are women RUDE. This is not the first time, i've had similar experiences. Maybe I have the plague?

My Father and Mother got divorced when I was almost two. I don't remember anything about life before the divource, so I'm sort of used to it. I live with my mother, and she is remarried with one boy, and my dad has remarried with one boy too. I have two older sisters. I used to absoultely LOVE going to his house. We would always have fun and go places and meet lots of new people...untill he got married. Since the marrage, my stepmom tries so hard for us to like her, but it makes me dislike her more and more. Even worse, my dad has become an old man! When we're at his house, all he wants to do it spend time watching TV and he goes to bed a7, so we're basiclly up alone all night. i know there is alot of very bad things that my dad did to my mom and us, and that makes me hate him even more. We haven't been to his house in about 3 months, and the last time we did, i cried my eyes out and locked myself in my room. I want to tell my dad that i never want to see him again. HLEP! what do i do?

I've been married for only 6 months; we have a 4 mo old daughter together. I was foolish to believe that he'd change after the baby was born but he hasn't. He has a problem with running away, literally. He did it before I was pregnant, while I was pregnant, and now with a baby at home. My husband didn't come home from work yesterday and won't return my calls or text messages. We had a simple argument. I'm sure he's at his mother's and she encourages him to stay away from me but we have a baby! He doesn't grasp the fact that this isn't high school crap, we're a family now. My problem is, I don't have a job, and I can't stay with him cause he won't change. How do I make it on my own? I can stay with my father while I look for a job but what about my bills and my baby's needs? My husband makes too much to qualify for WIC, or can I do it w/out him? But what about diapers? I just need advice. I know he's not cheating, he just has issues with running away from everything and putting walls up

I have been begging my husband to spend more time with me and maybe even go out once in a while...I am usually home with the kids and he goes out 3-4 nights a week with "the guys"...well, he finally took me out! I have never been to a bar, club, etc and don't drink (i'm 36 yrs old). He decides to take me to a bar and I thought thats ok...we go in and its a "dancers" bar and a sleezy one at that! My husband knows I don't get into the "girl" thing and he told me he wanted to bring me there so I could warm up to the idea of sleeping with another women, which he has been trying to talk me into doing and I keep saying no! He wouldn't give me the keys and it was in the middle of no where so I had no choice but stay. We sat in the back and he got us a couple of drinks..i asked for a non-alcoholic one...he brought a couple of "white grape" drinks and told me it was non-alcholic beer and naive me believed me. It didn't taste like alchol at all - I ended up drinking 3 of them..and

are? I'm thirty-five years old and still do not know who I am. I've been in many jobs searching and producing nothing. I'm a junior in college wanting to get a degree in Engineering Physics, but I am getting really bored and burnded out with it all; will probably quit in a few weeks or so. I am not a stupid man, just can't seem to find myself. Do you really know who you are, and if so are you happy with yourself and what you have become? Any advise for how to find who you really are?
