Marriage & Divorce - 18 September 2006

Weve been 2gether for about a year and a half, and have a 3 mo old. I got pregnant 2 weeks after we got our own apartment. Weve lived here ever since. I love him to death, & he loves me. But I have an attitude a lot, usually when he ticks me off with sumthing, but I usually apologize for it, and I have been getting better with it. He says he doesnt want to be in a relationship with fighting, which I agree, for our daughter. But we dont scream and cuss, usually its mostly just a disagreement and we discuss it.
I want to be engaged (even if we wait years to marry) because I want his word that he is here for the long haul. He has told me before if I leave him, he isnt coming after me, because its my choice to leave. So I feel very insecure about him being with me. I know he loves me and our daughter, but I need that security.

I told him that I wont put up w/ being together 4 so long and being a housewife, without being engaged! Is it wrong of me to ask this of him?

but the guy i met doesnt want to disclose his identity. Asked him for an ID bcuz he looks younger than his disclosed age. He makes it such a big deal and won't show me his ID. I was hoping he was a possibility I could explore for a long term relationship.

Last week she won a blue ribbon in the county fair for showing her prize hog "Bart".I would like to do something special for her, she has worked so hard raising him from a baby.Does anyone have any ideas?

I separated from my husband of 11 years before mental abuse.
I feel pain and hurt everyday since the separation 3months about, I continue to think about all the things he does to hurt me and it hurt badly. I need to know and stop the hate I hold for him because as long as I hold this feeling he has control over me. please tell me if anyone know exactly HOw do you stop hatting a person who has hurt you so deeply that you think about bad thought. In the last two years my husband has had a really bad temper. He has cursed at me, thrown and hit things in anger....living in this makes me feel bad and not close to him, and I have pondered the thought on being with him or not. Often I feel like something is wrong inside, I claim its with my husband or I think it is so I ask him "Do you feel distant from me?", "Do you feel like we have an emotional connection?" "Do you love me?" He gets really frustrated when I ask these questions because its ALL the time, and I ask him even when he is on his best behavior and we are ok. I cannot figure out where the questions are comming from and if they are really meant for him and about him, or if they are actually for me?

my husband has done this to me several times and i am tired of it!! if we are going out somewhere and i am dressed and ready if he get upset for any reason at all he punish me by not going he usually will either go and lay down on the bed or the couch or say something like right we are not going we have even got into the car and we are on our way to where we are going and if for some reason he get upset because we are arguing or i might of said something and he took it the wrong way he will turn around and come back home i am tired of it!! today once again i got dress to go out after waiting on him to get off the computer (that is something i always do he is always on line and yes he do or have talked to women on line in the past i have found out about!!) anyway i need some advice on how to handle him with this situation as i really am at my ends wits about it i am just tired of expecting to go somewhere and then if he is upset for any reason the trip is cancelled....how do i handel it

I'm nothing special, I'm just an average guy. I'm not lazy, I respect and love my wife, I work hard and make decent money that provides for the two of us. My problem is that my wife has issues with traits that I have that are very typical for guys. I'm not a metrosexual, I don't talk a lot, especially about feelings and emotions, I forget little things a lot, which I hate but I still do anyway. I don't get so serious about life stuff. All of these things makes my wife frustrated. WHY?
I don't get frustrated that she is always emotional. She holds on to things I've said in the past so we can argue about them all over again. She needs to go shopping. I get past these things and move on. Why can't she do this and is this typical for most women?

Can you love someone... and be friends with them... and still hate their guts??!!
My husband does that to me. I hate him for so many reasons, but when it comes to our 'routine' stuff, we get along great. I have had stress and ulcer and crying jags, wishing to leave... but then...
Do I really hate him? Do I really love him? Am I a glutton for punishment? Or just a person that doesn't have a spine to leave. I'm trying to get a clue here. Thanks for any honest comments.

My grandfather only has 1 child and that's my father. I was thinkin that If I ever get married I could let my father and my grandfather walk me down the isle because my grandfather didn't have any daughter to do that with.. And when My mother passed away when I was 4 my grandfather was there for me through out my whole life. He basicly raised me when I was younger. I just think it would be nice and like a thank you for being there all these years.. What do you think

The reason I ask this is because she keeps flirting with me and everytime she visits my wife and I she wears the shortest skirt and always bends over and smiles and winks at me. My boyfriend and I prayed together for the first time yesterday. I am spiritual, not part of a religion and he is a buddhist. We just said a prayer together as things have been going pretty bad. Today, all kinds of things went really well and we felt so good after doing that. At first it felt a little funny... but it was really beautiful. Does anyone else do this? I've been with my baby's daddy for 2 yrs on Oct.15 and am scared that my actions are gonna **** up my relationship. I love him because he loves me for me and i don't want to lose that. he porpose to me when i was 8 1/2 months with our son and i really want to be with him for tha rest of my life i really do!! but i don't know why i want to be with other guys.... i think about what will happen if i did and it will not be a pretty sight for me or our son! i don't want to be alone is that a bad thing or is that why i don't want to leave him? i can't talk to him about this because he will take this out of porpotion. My husband has been in an ongoing state of gloom since I decided to keep our 2nd baby. I'm about 15 weeks pregnant and almost had an abortion a few weeks ago. Tonight he said, "You need to do something to show you really care about what I'm going through now. You won't put my name on the deed, so figure something else out." Can anyone think of something I could do to make him happy? My mother gave me the apartment after my husband and I were married, and it has allowed us the opportunity to stay in the city he wants to live in. But she gave it to me, expressly saying he should not be on the deed. What other thing of that magnitude can I do to make it up to him to win his trust back? He doesn't trust me anymore, and every day together is barely tolerable. He criticizes me constantly and doesn't seem to care whether he's affecting our son or the unborn child. I'm so lost! I love him and don't know what to do to make him see that.

I find that if someone describes the realities of what men and women are like, they are viewed as sexist. Of course, this is way more true when a man is being a realist about women. Denial of this will clearly show you're not a realist.
I find way too often that when someone speaks realistically about negative aspects of the opposite sex, they are pegged as sexist.
How can one be a realist and not be viewed as sexist?

I'm not sure what's going on, so I need some help. My husband had some dental work done and was given a well-known, strong pain killer. He took 3 and did not need the other 9 and he left the pills in the bottle on the kitchen table. This morning he called me at work to ask me if I moved the remaining 9 and I had not. He said that they are now missing and the bottle is empty. We have had only one other person in our home since recieving the medication, he is a long time friend of my husband's. I'll call him "Alex" and he's recently been through a painful surgery. I think Alex took the 9 pills. My husband says he doesn't care what happend to the pills which strikes me as VERY strange. I'm ready to confront Alex, my husband doesn't want me to. And if Alex didn't take them, someone walked into our home and took them and that is scary. Should I confront Alex?
