In the last two years my husband has had a really bad temper. He has cursed at me, thrown and hit things in anger....living in this makes me feel bad and not close to him, and I have pondered the thought on being with him or not. Often I feel like something is wrong inside, I claim its with my husband or I think it is so I ask him "Do you feel distant from me?", "Do you feel like we have an emotional connection?" "Do you love me?" He gets really frustrated when I ask these questions because its ALL the time, and I ask him even when he is on his best behavior and we are ok. I cannot figure out where the questions are comming from and if they are really meant for him and about him, or if they are actually for me?

Stop asking him all of the questions.

Is there a connection between the outbursts and something? Is it when he drinks, or after something specific has happened? If you have to ask those questions, then he is obviously not showing you that he loves you or is connected to you. And if he just said yes, would that satisfy you anyway? Because for me, actions speak louder than words.

Consider counseling. It could help get your feelings communicated to him in a neutral setting where he doesn't feel threatened and you could get a little more from him perhaps. Don't leave without trying, but make sure you're safe. If your safety is an issue, leave now, counsel later.

Do you feel good about yourself? Do you feel insecure in your marrige? Maybe this is where the questions are coming from that you ask him. I think his behavior is a little too much, but maybe he is frustrated that you keep asking him if he loves you, etc.

You need to get him help. Next he could be throwing and hitting you. And I don't think any women should be in that kind of situation...Try marriage counseling. Good luck.
