it's not just like a "he's so hot i love him" crush. he's my best friend and so is his sister (who is my age) and we have lots of fun together. he's 4 years younger than me but when we're older i know that won't matter. (my parents are 8 years apart...)

According to your profile, you are 14 and that would make your intended future husband the grand old age of 10. While you occasionally hear about stories of high school sweethearts being together forever (like my parents), it is very rare.
At 14, i think it would be almost impossible for you to know enough about yourself or this friend to know that you want to marry him. You've still got a lot of growing up to do. I am not the person I was now that I was at 14 and I am thankful for that.

No, but I did end up marrying my guy friend, and I never imagined I would do a thing like that. We just happened to find each other again, in a new way,when we got older.

Yes, I met my husband when I was 15...he was 17 and we have been best friends ever since.
