I have a major life problem, I am a 15 year old boy. I have trouble getting along with my older brother (17 years old). In fact I don't even get along with him. (And younger directly than me). Yes we live in the same house with parents (and have three younger brothers). By not getting along with him I mean not even talking to him. I think the last time I might have had a 'fun' or 'brotherly' talk with him is years ago. Yes you are saying I need professional help, counselling. Its just that I am afraid and this took a lot of courage to right. I just need someone to talk to this about. I don't want to ruin my life even more. Can somebody help me out? Please just someone help me and talk to me. I would really appreciate it.

My younger sister is coming home from college soon to stay with me, my husband, and our kids durning her Christmas vaction. She also stayed with us for almost 4 monthes this summer. The problem is is that she is a pot smoker. Personally I dont care whether she does it at school.Thats her business.I just dont want it in my house. We had problems with this during the summer. She was constantly smoking it in our garage 24/7.It got out of hand so me and my husband talked to her and said basically if you want to smoke it not in our house where there are kids. So she stopped smoking it here but was still constantly stoned. She's my sister so it makes it harder to just be like,"go your outta here."She said she wont bring it into our house this break but I dunno if I can trust her. (I really wont know short of searching her bags. She could have just not do it here in my house. My kids our get into everythin I just am scared they get into it. (toddler) Thinking of just telling he she cant stay here??

This teenage male has had academic problems since around the age of 9. His parents had him tested, but he didn't qualify for Special Education services. He was left back in the 6th? grade and has continuously received F's on his report cards. He has progressed through the grades by 'social promotion' is my guess. He has also attended adult night school and summer school due to his parent's insistence. Now he is in high school and constantly cutting classes and bringing home F's. Girls are the only important thing to him. He is also displaying other odd behavior. He is losing interest in things that he says are important to him. He LOVES football, but when it comes to working hard and applying himself, he has no interest. He wants the rewards without the hard work. He's a nice young man, very charming and friendly. I'm very close with the family and know that there have been some difficulties in the family dynamic, but overall he has loving and supportive family around him.

My son's ex who is the mother of his biological child has abuse charges against him and a restraining order and all kinds of malarkey that caused him to lose rights to his biological daughter. He then married another girl who has a 6 year old daughter. He put the 6 year old step daughter in a corner and had her stand there because she kept wetting herself and he forgot her and hse was there 45 minutes. THe girl is mildly retarded I think because she pees herself all the time and alawys says she does it cause she's "scared" but has nothing to be scared of because everyone is nice to her but now the new wife has left him and taken her daughter and he's being charged with child abuse and molestation claiming the 6 year old says he touches her even though i know he wouldnt do that. I found out that the ex daughter in law has agreed to be a character witness in court if it goes that far so now I think they're in it together to make his life miserable. What can be done?

Okay, my bro and I are very close and today I found out that he wrote a suicide note while he was at school. I don't know what I would do if he killed himself/died. I would have to kill myself...I just couldn't live without him. But anyway, he wrote a note and the principal called my parents and now it's this huge ordeal. I don't know what to do or what to tell him or anything. I am his older sister, we're both teens. THere are some issues in my family right now, so that is prob contributing to my brother wanting to commit suicide. What can I do? I am so scared that something is going to happen to him....it's making me depressed right now. I really need help, and I am the ONLY one that he will listen to..

I don't really care that one of my best friend's is gay, I don't pay any attention to it unless he starts talking about his boyfriend. I was telling a story at dinner tonight that involved him, and said something about him being gay. My step dad looked at me like I was insane. He gave my mom looks, and I got mad. I asked if it was a problem for him and he told me that I shouldn't be hanging out with "people like that." I got up from the table and left, I haven't been out of my room since. I'm extremely angry, as is my mom. My mom got mad because she is a huge "do whatever you want to do, just don't hurt me" kind of person. I'm so frustrated with him, he's a very old fashioned "the dog sleeps on a chain outside and eats leftovers, you can't hang out with gay people, any animal that steps foot in our backyard gets shot" kind of person, and we argue a lot about my dog sleeping in my bed an me being a vegetarian. What can I do to get him to understand I'm not changing my beliefs or friends

Not too mention that they are now accusing my son of stealing a pair of 1k diamond earrings! I am really pissed off at them for this behavior and not to mention that her husband called my son with a nasty attitude about not paying him.

I was at my friends house one night for dinner. His mom yelled at me for breaking her vase and I got really mad at her. They kept an urn on top of their fireplace with my friends grandfathers ashes in it. Anyways, my friends mom was cooking spaghetti and when she went to the bathroom I took a spoonful of ashes and put it in the speghetti. Its been 14 years now. Should I confess?

Our father has invited us on an expense-paid (by him) trip to Britain to visit relatives. He has invited my sister, her husband. and my wife and me.

Our relatives indicate it might not be feasible to house this large of a group, but could find room if there were three of us coming.

As it turns out, my wife is unable to go because of other obligations. I suggested to my sister that perhaps it would be better for just our Dad, her and I to go--thereby not only saving my father the expense, but also the expense of reserving a hotel or apartment for the 10-day duration of the land portion of the trip.

She is upset by my suggestion. She tells me that just because my wife cannot go, doesn't mean her husband should not be entitled to go.

Am I wrong to think she is behaving somewhat selfishly and unreasonably?

Thanks for your input. I appreciate. :-))

I'd like to know what is is you actually DO at these camps, and for what REASON do people generally decide to come stay...?

I'd pick him as the last person to learn the art of Meditation! He's a 6'3 tall Aussie Blokey Bloke, and earns a living directing films. He usually makes a joke of things like this! What could be up??? Very mysterious! I hope he's OK. Anyone who wants to offer their suggestion I'd appreciate it heaps! Thanx

Here's the deal. My in-laws have Christmas dinner every year at noon. And every year my kids cry & complain because they want to stay home, in their jammies & play with their new stuff. My husband & I also just want to stay in & not go out. My family has dinner on Christmas Eve, we wanted to go see his parents during the day before my family stuff. The thing is, his mom gets mad if we don't do things her way, no matter what it is, she has to have her way. We go there every Thanksgiving & Easter, we just want to do our own thing on Christmas day. Do you think we should do what we want, even though we know she'll be mad? Or do we just make ourselves go to keep her happy?
