I went to college at 17 and lived in a dorm, but I still went HOME on holidays and summers. After college I lived with my parents for another 10 months, until I joined the Air Force. So, I'd say I was 22 when I FORMALLY left my parents' house.

I'm almost 21 and still not ready to move out. I'm not a bum, I go to school and work, but I love living at home and would be lonely if I lived by myself right now. I never was in a big hurry to move out as soon as I turned 18 - that just meant more pressures and more bills.

I moved out when I went off to college (age 17). Once I graduated, I came back for about 6 months and felt like I was going back in time instead of moving forward. So, I moved out and have been on my own ever since.
