Ummm some of my friends have said that at first the guy who was about to marry their mom seemed cool, but after they got married he turned mean. I am a little worried because my mom is engaged and i do like him but i don't NOT want to like him after they get married.....you know what i mean?

I liked my step dad a lot at first too. He is a little aggravating, but he's actually one of the people I'm closest to. Most of my friends with step dad's say the same thing, but it really all depends on the the man your mom is marrying.

Talk about your fellings with him and your mother.Whenever something is upsetting. everyone deserves to be happy. He is a stepdad and that's a really important role. so have family time together. The situation between the other peoples step dad is different. Don't prejudge him. Your mother also deserves to be happy too.

This is why your mom should date with no sex or shacking for at least 2 yrs before marrying him.His real personality will come out in that time.

What do you care if you like him or not - you'll be going off to college soon and your mom has the rest of her life living with a partner who she loves and enjoys. Be happy for your mom and stop worrying so much about yourself. Your stay with him is temporary.

you should tell your mom how you feel, but also you have to understand her. If they both love each other, you have to give him a chance
