My sister and me have never been close...But in the past year everything has went doen hill,worse than ever...I'm only 15 she's 23....Though I act more like the 23 year old and her the 15 year old...She's hooked on drugs,I'm hooked on books...We're complete opposites...I don't even remember what she sounds like or where she lives...I wanna say I hate her,but she's given me my three nephews and niece...And shes the only sister I have...How can I be her sister when she wont be mine.

stay with your parents living under rules such as "be home at 12, I'll pick you up from school, drop you off, and no boyfriend"?

How can a mother belittle her own children with words such as "you can't do anything right, and you won't succeed in anything in life?". When the mother is the one in an abusive marriage and doesn't even know how to deal with her own marriage, or the way her family/children are falling apart. I bust my butt off in school to get somewhere in my life, just so i can graduate and make enough money to move her/my brother/myself away from my father and his abusive ways. So she thanks me by turning around and telling me "I'm not good enough, I don't try hard enough?". There's days where I'm so drained emotionally from all the stress and I can't stop crying, but i push myself even harder. I feel so alone sometimes like no one gets me, and nobody can help me. I lost trust and respest for my father 14 yrs ago, and now I have to do the same with my mother? Why would she say something like that to me?

She makes a big deal even if i'm an hour late because I have a curfew and I was in a movie that didn't allow phones..So I panicked and called her and she got really mad. I promised her next time I would call her but she doesnt believe me.. My friends invited me to go to a concert but the problem is, it's at 10 P.M. and my mom doesn't like me to go out late at night and it's an hour away from the concert so I might go home between 11 or 12.. how can i convince her to let me go out late and far with my friends?

Okay, I don't know whats up with him!! 2 hours ago, he told me he was all depressed and all because he thinks I ignore him, and my mom, and my twin sister. He was so depressed, he literally skipped work today just because of that!! I'm getting really worried. I told him to fix my computer mouse and it took me at least 10 tries just to get him to listen to me and he finally fixed it. So, I went upstairs and before I went upstairs he called my name. And I was like, What? he said, tell mom while' your up there if she doesn't come down and talk to me, i'm going to skip work again tomorrow and i don't care if I get fired. WHAT'S GOING ON WITH HIM? He's not acting normal!! And the other day he almost punched my sister and I.. help me whats wrong with him.. he's not drunk he doesn't drink!!

She's always up my butt, like a thermometer. She gets mad whenever I talk about how much i don't like her fiance and starts sreaming at me. She starts stuff with my Dad, then blames it on me. She begs me to talk to her about "personal things", when I do, she ends up repeating the same things over and over saying, "It's that age," Ugh!

i have a lot of weight on my shoulders for a 12 year old my step dad just came back from Iraq now my real dad is going my real dad just got married and i have school and my teachers give out homeworkike they are the only ones giving it and i fell like i have to be strong for my mom and now my stepmom and it may not seem like alot but i just cant take it anymore. i have no ways of reliving stress can you guys help? and i am NOT seeing a consulor.

My parents have been divorced for almost 10 years, and I haven't seen my dad much. My dad has been really ill for the past 3 years and me and my mom don't really get along although we are close. The only thing holding me back from living with my dad is their would be huge changes in my life some are good, new school, I'll have to get used to not being the only child (4 other kids at my dad's) and not being able to get away with things as easily. I have spent 15 years of my life with my mother, and have many memories to remember, she is getting remarried and won't need me around as much anymore. But even though my dad is married he still hasn't had much time to spend with me. Even though I visit him once a year I don't think that it is enough anymore. I just don't want to regret not taking the opportunity to spend time with him while I could..What do you think I should do and be completely honest?

My 23 yr old daughter's been living w/her boyfriend for 3 yrs & R contemplating moving out bcuz they can't afford it anymore. She's now in nursing school fulltime so she can't work due 2 the extremely challenging classes. She is however working 1day/wk @ a hospital. He makes very good money but his hobby consumes a lot of it. He has a lot of bills which also include quite a bit of money spent monthly on his bodybuilding diet, supplements, protein, gym membership, & who knows what else. My daughter is draining her savings acct. 2 pay her 1/2 the bills & can no longer afford living out on her own. She wanted 2 move home where she would have her own room & bathroom, no bills, & no chores so she can concentrate on college. Her boyfriend says he can't live w/o her & keeps pressuring her 2 move in2 his dad's house w/him where I know she'll end up being a maid. I know their relationship won't last then. He says if they don't live there it won't last. They've been arguing alot about it. IDEAS?

My sister is 11 and in all honesty, she's wrecking our family, and we have NO clue why. At school her teachers rave about her and she is very smart and is nice and helpful at school, and very friendly, but at home she's the opposite. At home she hides up in her room most of the time, listening to her iPod or using the computer. She hardly talks to any of us, and when she does it's usually to complain or say something hateful and rude. It's adding SO much additional stress that we just DO NOT need right now!! I'm 15, and we have twin bro & sis that are 4, and she mostly blames them and my parents (as far as we can tell) for her problems, which isn't too strange but she's taking it too far. It seems like she has no consciense, and she NEVER helps and will even say "NO" and walk away if we ask!! We've tried everyhing, even her talking to a psychiatrist! PLEASE HELP!!! We can't keep living with her like this!

okay well i have history and its really boreing all i ever hear about is dead white guys. and you should agree it makes you wanna kill yourself. well i studied for this test and we got to use our notes and i got a 60 on it! and my previous test i got a 50 so now on my inner room (progress report before report card) i have an F in that class. I cried today in class (im not a baby i never cry in school) because i feel like my mom expects so much of me and bringing home an F is going to suck what do i tell her because i have to tomarrow. any moms on here please tell me how you would want me to tell you.

my partner and me have had a horrible weekend with his mum brother and auntie rigning us up and going nuts about a money situation that we are in the right about anyway he has a cousin whos wedding is in two weeks that we have sent a rsvp into. whats a nice way to put we arent coming she is aware there is some family issues going on. i feel rude but i cant face these people they are horrible but the cousin isnt.

my uncles and aunties are nice. they want to give me some clothes for cold weather. we live in the same town.
I love to accept their gifts, though I can afford it.
But I will not tolerate that they will talk about "their gift" that I wear in a family gathering. The sad thing is they WILL say things about their gift in front of everyone.

How can I politely reject their "gift".

My parents try to control me. I'm only 14 and I know there are some things that I have to listen to and somethings that I can't get because I'm just too young. I stopped asking for a nose piercing because I knew I could just wait till i'm 18 and get one. The one thing that really bothers me is my mom and dad. They're going through this "big divorce" it doesnt bother me at all because I don't like either of them. I mean of course i love them, but its just the fact that they piss me off so much and upset me too. I'm nothing but a teenager. Strong Catholic and close to God. I have family problems.

No Dad. Grandparents have custody. Mom is trying to be a mother and she does a good job, but because of custody she can't over-rule my grandparents so called better judgement. She's been kicked out of the house 4 times in the past year. I've been kicked out 2ice. Because my grandparents think that we evil. My bestfriend won't answer his phone and there is no one else that I can turn to. My past is coming back to haunt me and i can't get it to go away. I have what is called phycosymatic pain. It creates Kidney Stones... I'll have one by the end of the week.

I'm 14. Can't do much. Its serious, not just some dumb problem. Counselors want to bring in Child Services but We've been through hell with them before, and they stuck my mom in a hospital. NO. She didn't do anything it was my step-dads fault, he was just to much of a bastard to admit it. He molested me and cops didn't believe. what ?

So my mom and dad have been splitting up on and off for years now. First my dad left my mom when I was just starting high school for my best friends mom and he kept bouncing back and forth for about 4 years. Finally they got divorced last a year ago may of 2007, so almost 2 years ago. This last august (07) he left my mom to be with the neighbor which they have both been friends with for about 6 years. Supposedly best friends with my mom. Well she divorced her husband of 13 years to be with my dad. So now they live next door to my mom and all these people do is start drama. They try to keep me involved...and its nothing but my mom and dad playing games...he gets over there and he is unhappy so him and my mom are planning on this affair and its just BS. They try to blame their drama on me and they have both turned my world upside down multiple times kicking me out and what not and blamming me for there messed up relationship. Curious to what people think about this!!

Ok so i have one brother and a million cousins and if you put them all together you get trouble! My brother has been smoking for like a year now and he is trying to cut down on it because of the negative outcome [cancer, struggle to breathe etc.] I heard him talking on the phone the other day, These were his exact words "I swear to god i have not smoked but i have been......... i could not hear the rest but it sounded like he said trying cocaine! I dont want to loose my brother to drugs, smoking or anything like that! In case you are wondering how he started smoking it was by my cousin`s husband [now ex] and my brother in law!!! They started hanging out Saturday nights and they just started to try new things like marijuana, other drugs, and mixing drinks!!!! My brother is studying really hard to be a doctor but if he keeps this up he will end up in jail! I just want to know what do you think i should telll him!!!! I am not trying get involved but i know my brother is getting worse!!!!

I have this friend (not sure if hes clean or not) and I know that his life generally, well, sucks.

So today he was saying all this crappy stuff about his mom (he lives with her). But then he said that he was going to talk to his counselor about disowning his mom?! (and going to live with this one other kid that has gotten kicked out of more than four schools, and the one we go to MULTIPLE TIMES)

ALl right it actually started when my mom wanted my help to check her facebook (she sucks at using computers,i'm sorry)
When she logged on, all her boyfriends from her high school added her and sent messages like "hey love, how u been?" and stuff.
I didn't know those were her boyfriends, I just thought they were random people. Anyway, she told me to delete them from her room and then we left for the mall. On the way she accidentaly blurted out that she had created her very own facebook. Turns out that my dad had his OWN facebook account as well. He got pretty mad asking why she didn't add him or why she didnt accept his invitation . My dad got pretty mad from there...and they dropped me off for badminton practice. When I came back they were all sitting in the car looking sad. I just didn't know what to do. My mom has been married to my dad for 18 years now. My mom used to be one of those super christian no style everyday moms. now she has changed. alot. SHe loves shopping, is wearing thongs, (!) (i found that out on a shopping spree) tries to stay in fashion, listens to todays music, and is acting like a 21 year old! Worst of all she and my dad are on and off. they somtimes really love eachother and somtimes bicker like children. my siblings are blind to the change or else they think it is "cool". Am i over reacting? im really hurt by this and i need help. Please someone help me!
