My grandfather mentaly abuses my grandmother... this is not something i should be asking for advice on but I cant sit back and watch my grandmother suffer like this, My grandfather has a anger issue and he likes to start fights over anything and everything... My grandmother cleans,cooks, slaves at this house for him and all he does is fight and yell at her, he doesnt hit her but he throws things in her direction not at her but towards her... I cant sit around and watch this if someone could please give me advice on what to do I feel like the law is pointless they will just make things worse...... I live in Florida

I have a friend that was molested at 13, and now that she 24, she say she's have flash back in the middle of the night. I stayed over here house one night for support. And, I've see here fighting in the middle of night. It's really not a good sight at all! I was tell her that see should confront that person, if he is still around. (Which he was own family member!!) I don't if that might help of make the situation worse. should I tell her?

Child abuse, its common, and there seems to be not much help until is too late.

my mom and dad left about 3 hours ago, driving to see my sister at college. the drive takes about 3, 4 hours so they left early and my parents told me to call them when i woke up this morning. about an hour ago, i did, and no one has answered. i have since called them each many times, and left voice mail messages. i even have called my sister and asked her if they were there yet, and they aren't. what should i do? when my parents drive, they ALWAYS have their cell phones in their pockets or right in front of them, and theyre set to ring loudly. i know theyd call me right back if for some reason they couldnt answer when i called, especially my mom who isn't driving. it's been over an hour and i'm really worried about this, what should i do? :/

Senior night at step-daughter's sports game where parents walk out with their daughters and are announced. I found out when I got to the HS that she did not put my name in and my husband (her dad) and his ex-wife (her mom) would be the ones announced. The other senior had her mom and dad and their respective spouses (her step-parents) announced. I was crushed. I thought my step-daughter and I had a good relationship over the years and to find out she doesn't want me in her life by not including me in this event really hurt me deeply. And, in front of people I know who are probably wondering what kind of bad step-mother I am that she isn't proud to say I'm her step-mom. My husband hasn't said anything to her yet. He thinks I should talk to her too. Will it do any good or will I get a bunch of lies? I have no desire to go where I'm not wanted so I feel that I should just stay away from future events since it's clear that she doesn't want me around. How should I handle this?

Ok I am having a big family problem, please help.
Ok My mom and dad are split up. My dad met this one girl and she has two kids. A boy who is 13 and a girl who is 4. I have a sister also she is 8. And My sister had a little crush on the 13 year old boy. We was telling her dont do that b/c its not right. But the 13 year old was agging it on though.And he kept hugging and kissing my sister. And that night my dad caught the boy ontop of my sister. He melested her. And my mom told the state(my sis lives with her) and its being investegated and the woman told us already that she believes my sister b/c the boy is lieing. And Basicly i hate all of them the boy, my dads girlfriend. But my dad is not going to put his girlfriend out. And he is asking me what should he do and i would say put her out and he would go and mess with my head like all physological and i dont know hwat to do so people please elp. I really need all the help i can get!! Thanks alot!

Well when my sister was a few years old she could remember being inside my mothers stomach & comming out & everything. She told us this when she was about 4. Everyone's memory probably dates back to 4 years, but its weird. Its not like she was kidding ethier, she was serious & talked about how bloody things were & ew. & sometimes I find her talking about my great grandmother, who died a years before she was born so I knew her, but my sister didn`t. She`ll talk about her as if she knew her & calls her the name everyone else called her before anyone even told her what her name was. Sometimes she`ll even smell like my great grandmother`s perfume. Its not like a faint smell ethier, she`ll reak of this specific perfume & it will last a day or a few hours. We own none of this perfume ethier, its one older people wear, but I forget what its called. My great grandmother was an very religious person so I don`t think she would be sticking around with us. Could my sister BE my great grandmother?

I have five children - one is not living at home, the others are a girl(12) boy(9), boy(3) and baby five months. I can't seem to cope real well - my house is in a mess and I never have time to myself. Is this normal or am I being too hard on myself?

i'm 14 and mum is 48.. i tell her everything which goes on at school... from what exactly my project chairperson said..later i feel weird... is this too close..sometimes i feel a bit weird...esp. since my sisters are 8 and 12 years older than me..
mum does always use what i say to yell at me,to say that i don't work enough..that she's going to pull me out of extracurricular activity which i love..
anyway what is too close??

my mom is in assisted living only because of diabetes management and other meds. my brother had a b-day get together at a local restaurant and everyone was invited except my mom and me and we all live within 5 miles. we didnt find out until after the fact and my mom was told it was no big deal that it was no big thing and also it was her responsibility to ask if there was to be a get together b/c she is his mother..please help with some answers as i have to deal with this situation to try to keep her from feeling hurt.

my son is 17 almost 18 , making a's and b's in school,, dont smoke, drink or do drugs ,his girlfriend who is 17 , they have been dating for over 1 1/2 years ,and she isin't pregnet yet,,ok so I think I am doing well,, concidering that in today's society,,most kids have tried drugs and drinking, and lot of teen pregnecy,, now here lies my question,,,do you think i am wrong for letting them spend the weekends together, they usually go to her house,stay from fri-sun. then he comes home and does the school thing. he is a little mouthy, but other than that a great son,, my mother-in-law says such filthy things,,about his girlfriend,her parents,, but she has always done those things,,as long as i have known her,
to me it sounds like she is jealous that my son isin't here to listen to her petty naggin, (being polite) and one of these days i might snapp.... would I be wrong to tell a 74 yr. old woman , she had her chance to raise her kids and leave me raise mine?

My Dad has a new Girlfriend. He found her on some internet dating site. She is from Thailand and we live in Australia, we are White/Caucasian. She is 23 and my Dad is 45. He only visited her twice in Thailand before he flew her over here to live permanently, she had never visited my Dad here. My Dad's Girlfriend has been living with us for less than a month and her being here has already made me very upset. Ever since she got here Dad has pretty much forgotten that me and my younger sister Caroline exist. He ignores us when we try to talk to him, he doesn't take us fishing, hiking etc on the weekend like he usually does. When he gets home from work he only say hello to his Girlfriend and he ignores us. And whenever i try to talk to him he either tells me he's busy and goes and talks to her or halfway when we are talking she butts in wanting something. I used to have a very good relationship with my Dad and now we might as well not have one at all.

I was in a happy relationship for a couple of years until my partner started to get really stressed about every little thing. I know and he knows that he has a stress/anxiety problem yet he won't see a doctor about it. It is really impacting on my life now and making me unhappy.

We both want children. We have a lot of finacial problems that will make it very difficult for us to raise children. I just want a happy marige and to have a family of my own. I just don't see it happening despite both our efforts to improve our finacial situation and my partner's reluctance to see a doctor. Also,I don't have any qualifications beyond high school and my experience at work. I can't aford to go to tafe or uni.

I have a family but it is highly disfuncional and I cannot rely on them for any sort of support.

I am thinking that I should get pregnant then find work and a house in another state, go on social services money and study after having the baby, then go back to work.

My life was normal untill my mom lived out of home , she works 24 hours in nursing home and come back home weekends only. Im living just like in hell right now. My father does not appreciate me for being me and scold with slightliest mistakes I did. He even said Im useless daughter and does not make any good to his family. I feel depressed and crying out every night, but I dont want my mom to be worried. What should I do? I have been thinking of running away from home, but were should I go? my father has a problem with my twin sister being gay and he wants me to have problem with it but i dont. cause that is my sister no matter what. I invited my daddy off for my house warmming and and he turned down the invited. he told me until my sister stop living with me that he cant be apart. but it is like that everytime i have something as a family. but let his step kids have something he is jonny on the spot for these kids.so the reason for this time he could not visit is cause my sister is gay. that is some BS she has been that way for about seven or eight years. i think he should put his difference aside and love and care for his kids no matter what there sexuality is. out of all four of us i am the only one that keeps the line of communation open but i dont no how long that is going to last. cause he is always causing problems. i just want a happy family.like my soon to be husband. if this is the family cards i was dealt i want to throw it back in.

My mom gambles away most of her paycheck. She pays a few of the bills but that's it. She doesn't buy any food, gifts, or household products. She hasn't payed a cent towards my college tuition. She's a a smoker, and always borrows money for cigerettes. My dad is the main (and pretty much sole) provider in the family.
She lies about what happens to her money, and becomes VERY defensive when my dad or I confront her about it. She borrows money from people, and never pays it back. She's even borrowed 15K from her sister, swearing that she'd pay her back - but of course that had never happened. She's giving all of us a bad reputation. She even borrows money from /me/. I'm only sixteen years old, and she's been borrowing large sums of money from me since I was about twelve. I'm so upset. Our money is tight right now, too. My dad's really stressed out. I'm at a total loss as to what to do! Help!!
I just don't know how to talk to her without her becoming defensive. I really need advise!!

My parents refuse to speak to my sister. There was a disagreement back in June over my two neices and nephew visiting over the summer. My parents only wanted my two neices to come (they are older) and my nephew to only come if my sister came along with him (he wasn't on his best behavior when he visited last April). Well, my sister and her husband decided that if my nephew couldn't come my neices couldn't come either because my nephew would feel rejected. My parents felt totally disrespected (they were paying for all the travel expenses). It has been almost five months, I have tried to open the lines of communications, but nothing is working. My sister has tried (she just is agreeing to disagree) to reach out with no success. I am at my wits end. I see points from both sides, but my parents are being the immature party in this matter.
Please Help! Should I call Dr. Phil? I am about to!!!!!

Plizz take a minute n read. * It's not normal for me..saying these words, but think how u would feel n help. :
I mean..honestly, i really dont care about them anymore. The only reason i live with them is beccause i have to. Well, its because im goin to college, and i work in a pharmacy for a couple of hours.from 12:00 to 4:00. I am 19 by the way.
-- As you can imagine..thats not gonna bring me that much money to move out or anything. I mean i have -No plans of moving yet..cuz i know that i wont survive a day bymyself..n again thats because of the money. Ok my mom loves to watch murder shows and dateline or 20/20 if it has bad stuff on it about murder and rape. I asked her curiously why she likes to watch that. She got all defensive and said "Oh so you think I'm a bad and evil person for watching this?! Everyone else watches this!!!!!!!" I said no I don't! and I said that the question is the same as "what's your favorite color" it's a get to know you question. She disagreed.

She's around 76. She's always there for me and i can trust her with anything. Whenever i wanted to go to the movies she would offer to take us to another city to see the movie.
She always did whats best for us.
A couple of years ago my grandma had a heart attack. She survived.
Last year, around this time, she had another heart-attack and survived that. She became so worried she wrote her whole will in the middle of the night.
Last Thurs. She had a stroke. She was released that day.
Yesterday (Thurs, one week later) she had ANOTHER stroke.
She was supposed to leave the hospital today but had to stay longer...she also has diabetes (as discovered last year)
I know she has today sometime. I'm really close with her and so's my niece. By the way i'm only 13, and i'm afraid about my niece also and how she'll react.
I'm really not prepared for my grandmothers death. What should i do?
