Family - August 2007

My son is 31. I don't know what happened but it seems as though there is nothing I can do right. He is nit picking everything I do. I'm real hurt and don't want to answer his phone calls anymore.

today I feel very sad, for many years I been married, for few years I have many problems with my husband I was about to divorse. my husband was born here he doesnt speak spanish, and my english is not well, I am latina so this is the third time that when I talking to our children about something and I dont said it right he starts lo laugth. I told him many times the i dont like that, that he needs to repect me, also he always is in bad mood he said is my falt, but even if I dont said anything he gives B.... and he told my children not to speak spanish.
What should I do I tired of this situation

my boyfriends family is overly dysfunctional. his brother yells, throws objects, and there is no respect between them. the mother usually sides with the brother and therefore my boyfriend always feels hatred towards her. the father butts out and acts like nothing happens. my question is..if someone is brought up in a home filled with disrespect for one another and fighting, do you think this will be the case when my boyfriend has a place of his own ??
(or when we get married?)

Ok, my OLDER sister thinks that even "shut up" is a swear word and will tell on me if I say that to even 1 of my friends at a joke! She also thinks that whenever I say to my friends on the phone, "She's kinda annoying", my sister tells on me for that when i'm not even talking about her! I tried talking to her about that but she says, "Then stop saying that."
Then what CAN i say, "I love everyone!"?
I tried talking to my parents about that but she says, "You know her..." or "Then don't say it."
They're always on her side! What can I do?? (Like right now, when I watch tv, my sister keeps asking me stupid questions like "who's that?" so I say "I don't know!" and she told onme for THAT.)

ok i love my folks but i am 16 and here are my rules:
no make-up
no boyfriend
no dyed hair
no pirceings (not even ears!)
no nail polish!
no friends over after 6:00 pm
no parties (can't go to 1 either)
no sleep over (can't even go 2 1)
no dates
1 hour of tv a day
1 hour of coumputer a day
must spend at least 1 hour on homework (will be cheaked over)
Y WONT MY PARENTS LET ME HAVE A LIFE?????????

Everyday I dread that one day I know my parent's are going to die. I know we all have to die but I dread the day when my parent's will die. I know they could die in their sleep and that will be it. I don't believe in heaven or hell or god, so I know that they will be just dust and I will never be able to see them again. Does anyone else know what I am talking about or know how I feel?

A stressfull school year passed and the summer started. My moms brother was dying so on July 13th she went to europe to visit her familly and dying brother. She asked me if i wanted to go and i said no, because i wanted to stay and chill with my dad. So as soona s my mom leaves these people who are very far related come and drop of this old man. Yeah its as spontaneous as it sounds. He just has a bypass surgery a month ago, and had a stroke a long time ago, and he is like 65 to 70 years old. They took advantage of the fact me and my dad dont have the courage to say bno. So they dropped him off, got to my country over seas called and said theyll be back in 40 days. The guy is the dirtiest, dumbest, laziest, 455 out there. Me and my dad would have eaten out everyday, and stuff but my dad has to cook, and were both mad. He cna hold in his anger, but i cant. And i always think about it and cant sleep. Also, my neighbors who are complete idiots and have no common sense bother me

Ok, I am 27 and married for 7yrs. Right after I got married my parents adopted a little girl......well she is 15 now. Anyways, when I was growing up my step-mom was evil to me and beat the crap out of me and made me do all the house work...now my sister never has to clean or do anything.....she is behind 2yrs in school, she has a very low IQ, she is border line from being in special ed..and they allow her to have a boyfriend? They just came back from Mexico and she was dating a 22yr old man over there, they allowed her to go out with him alone, now they tell her she can call him and she can set up and e-mail account and that once she is 18 and she wants to get married she can????/ which i just find disgusting. I was engaged already to my husband and they would only let me see him on weekends and i couldn't talk to him on the phone for 30 mins.......right before i got married i had to run away cause they were just rediculous...its like they went over board with me and they are whoring

I barely have any friends, I go out and my mom gets upset that I come home at 4am, she doesn't like me staying overnite places (i drink when i go out so sometimes i don't want to drive home). I'm in the house Mon-Friday morning to night, sometimes not even setting foot outside. I feel like there's so many things that i want to do. I want to meet new people, I want to see and grow into the person I am w/o having to worry about my mom or family being critical of my every move. I'm feeling stuck right now- like everyone else is being active in life and being content (even though there are responsibilities). I need to move out!! I make roughly a little over 1,000 a month. I can rent out a room for $500. It's just taking that big step to finally say, ok, I'm doing my own thing. I need some advice...please. Am I being too critical here?

That I'm not just someone to play with but someone to look after her and keep her out of harm's way? Cuz if I remove her from anything that's dangerous or harmful or she can break(like computer), she screams bloody murder and I'm the only one she does this to. She doesn't have any full time mother or father and my mom raises her.

So how to put a stop to this? I just pick her up and put her out of the room and try to give her a toy or whatever but she just sits there and throws a temper tantrum and my parents think I'm torturing her until they come and see us.

I am sick of this!

Parents divorce?...maybe! HELP!!!?
My mom and dad are in there late 40's ...They get along great! they have little fights here and there..But one day they got into this HUGE fight over "responsiblitys and stuff" My mom blew her top and she went to stay at my aunts house for a bit. As for my dad he's cooling down to. Later on that week my dad went to go check up on my mom and my aunt said she went out to some party with a friend (the friends a guy). So we head over to the party and my dad and I search around for mom...My dad finds her kissing "that guy friend" and she didnt have her wedding ring (i dont know why) My dad was completley shocked and devastated and pissed, My mom saw the look on his face, but before she could say anything my dad stormed off! He wont talk to her or sleep in the same bed with her anymore...She still stays at my aunts house some nights...It makes me sad to see my dad so upset and down ....Im afraid my parents might split...How can they save their relationship!!!

i was talking to my dad he lives in Ohio and i live in California which is about 2,000 miles away from Ohio and i only get to see my dad once a year in the summer time. Anyways me and dad were talking on the phone and then all the sudden his girlfriend Linda beeps in on the other line.My Dad was like "i have to go Linda is on the other line" Dads girlfriend Linda lives 3 miles away from my dad so she gets to see him all the time. But i live Far and i hardly ever get to see him. Plus i'm the pne paying long distance charges to talk to dad. do you think my dad was rude?i wasnt even talking that long to him we talked for 10 minutes plus he was telling me he'd call me back i waited all night and my dad never called back

I am going out with a boy and we are not that far like (kissing)
or anything and im scared if i do something wrong!

This is what i think might happen:he pulls me away from my freinds and i say "what are u -" i didnt have a chance to finish what to say.With one swift move the boy grabbed both of my hands in his and leaned in and said my name sweetly,romantically........
All at once his lips pressed down......well,on my cheek! but he was aiming for my lips.the boy tried again.....moving even closer this time.And this time it was lip-to-lip,hands locked.
But this i am afraid of doing.pulling away from him and jumping up and down like a bunny is going crazy for jumping and me yelling "HE KISSED ME FOR THE FIRST TIME,HE KISSED ME HE KISSED ME!" all over the town.

Im afraid he might dump me if i go crazy. because believe me im a crazy girl!What am i going to do? and i cant help it but i go crazy when a boy kisses me! i always do that

My husband is from El Salvador and his mom treats him and his two other brothers more like romantic relationships than sons, I have two sons who are still young and I feel it is strange to be overly affectionate, I'm talking about more than hugs, kisses and snuggles. i have a situation w/ my boyfriend whom i have a 8 month old daughter with, see i told him when i first got w/ him 2 years ago that i dont want to be w/ him if he did any type of drugs at all and he told me he would never do any at all as long as we are together, well everysince we moved around his mom shes done nothing but get him high behind my back, i dont see how a mom can sit there and do that w/ her son anyway, but ive told him over and over im gonna leave him if he keeps doing it and he just keeps doing it behind my back anyway, hell tell me hes not but then i find out hes still doing it. then he will make up some stupid excuse. i really have no place to go if i leave him b/c im taking cosmetology classes so i have to stay around here. anyone have any advice besides telling me to leave him?

I'm 11 and my whole family smokes. I hate it! When I hear my brother cough it just makes me wanna scream!!!! I can''t live with the smell and all my life is is screaming and yelling. My mother-in-law likes carrera women (I was one before) and wants me to go to work fool time outside the house. Me and my husband have a newborn and we want me to stay home and find home based business. I would not worry about mother's-in-law wishes but she just reminded me that house we live in belongs to her (she lives in her other place) and her son did not deserve inheritance and she is chenging her will. Also she brings as an example her other son who choosed to keep wife home with his child and now he is compleatly out of will. I know that family house is wery important to my husband, and at the same time he wants to have traditional family with wife taking care of children. If I don't obey mother-in-law we will loose secure future for the kids, if I go work fool time and dedicate myself to careera grows I'll fill guilty to my little children and my husband hwo needs support right now with his careera that just got off dead point and started to grow. How to solve this problem?

Is the precentage for higher for men not wanting children or is it higher for those that do? Because lately I have observed any guy that I become interested in, doesn't want kids. I have nothing against their view on it. But some day I would at least like to have one, but I don't want to force a guy into changing his view because of me. And I'm definitely not naive enough to believe that people will change their minds after they have found the "one". Its really nice to think so, but if someone feels strongly enough about certain things, I believe in letting them have their view and I will respect theirs if they respect mine. I have a brother whos 23 and has been having alot of problems for a very long time.He does drugs.I dont really know what kind but i do know he pops pills.He is always stealing money from me and my parents for them.Over the past few years hes probably stole close to a million dollars from my parents and a couple thousand from me.He also steals my cds,movies,play station games,video cameras,and pretty much anything that is worth money.He has also sold one of my dads guns for money.Everytime something happens he says he willl get help but still hasnt and i think he really needs it.He has mentioned joining the air force because he thinks it will help him but i dont want him getting hurt.Is there anything i can do?
