Everyday I dread that one day I know my parent's are going to die. I know we all have to die but I dread the day when my parent's will die. I know they could die in their sleep and that will be it. I don't believe in heaven or hell or god, so I know that they will be just dust and I will never be able to see them again. Does anyone else know what I am talking about or know how I feel?

Yes. Besides, that's the day when we're actually turn into adults, regardless of our age, and realize that next turn is ours.

yes i understand but you know what how can you believe you will not see them. there souls are alive and well and they just move to something new. sometimes if you don't' believe in heaven hell or something there are places that we believe in that is what our heave or whatever is. you are there til eternity and then you Will See every one and god. god is good and all knowing and he loves all. he is here or look at what you see do you be live that no one made those skies and and beautiful sunsets. I mean it had to be someone pretty special. i know there is one and i know i have lost my dad in 2000 and i guess if i didn't believe i would be upset also but know hes waiting for me to come and he wil help me through the ropes my dad was x marine and hes helping st peter guard the gates of heaven right now. hes happy adn i know this hes a tpeac and its o much easiter to know this. good luck

Yes, I dream about my dad dying all the time and I wake up crying and then I am depressed for days. My mother was murdered when I was 4 and I am 27 now and it still devastates me to this day. I think that is why I freak out about my dad. My dad is 65 and he is healthy now but he smoked for like 50yrs and I am always scared that one day out of the blue he will be diagnosed with cancer and he will die and i don't want my dad to die suffering and in pain.

Most parents die before their children of natural causes. It's hard, but it helps if you have belief that there is a Heaven and a hell.

Sounds like you aren't as sure about your beliefs as you claim to be. Be sure you understand why you claim to be an atheist, most people really aren't, they just don't define their beliefs with a specific religion.

You have to know the enemy to understand why you don't have the leap of faith necessary.

I've thought about my parents dying and it upsets me. But I believe in God and that he will watch over them.
