I am 16 and my boyfriend is also 16. His parents are split up and hate each other with a passion so he is kind of nomadic. His dad will get mad if he stays at his moms and his mom would rather he stayed with her but they dont get along all the time. It is a bad situation and has caused him to stay with me occasionally. I dont mind it at all and nor do my parents because they understand the problem. Do you think i should let it continue knowing that it might eventually become a problem between my parents and I? or should i just leave it and let my parents be the adults?
Thanks again!

I recently been having promplems with my 12 year old son. I raised my son till he was 8 years old all by myself because me and his father seperated when he was 1, and I married right after he turned 8. His father has never made the effort to see him or spend time with him and up until next year had never paid a single dollar in child support. His father is well known around town and people constantly speak about him to my son. He always brags about his father and any time I try to say anything negative he comes to his defense. My husband of 4 years has been there for him whenever he needs something, yet he favors the father that has never given a s**t about him. Now that he pays child support he suppose to have him on the weekends and he has yet to pick him up once. Will someone please give me some advice or try to explain to me why my son favors the dead beat dad that has never been around?

Alright, so my grandfather who is doing horribly, is now out of the hospital.

He isn't going to get better... only worse.

Today, I ran into work, to get some time off.

I got Sunday-Friday off to go visit him.

I cannot leave until Monday Night, and its a 12 hour drive, and because I'm 17, I don't want to drive at night.

So If I leave Tuesday Morning, I will get their at night, so that gives me Wednesday, and Thursday to spend with him, and then I drive back on Friday.

I think if I drive its going to cost me 200 bucks.

If I fly down their, that will give me an extra 20ish hours to spend with him. its worth the 3,000 bucks, since this could be his last time.

However, I didn't budget to fly down their until Christmas, and I didn't have the budget for a 3,000 flight.

If you were in my situation, with both scenarios possible, is it worth it?

(me and my mother are driving down their together/flying together)

It would cost 2,000 for a "Economy" seating.

Ok my mom and me decided we would do homeschooling. So we are,and so far I'm not liking it! Should I wait a bit and then see if I still like it? But if I did really hate it still, I wouldn't know how would to break it to her. She bought all these supplies and got into a homeschooling group! And I"m kinda missing public school! What should I do?

with her foot on the cushion of the diningroom chair. I said, hey, you know, You guys complain that grandpa could've made this house more comfortable and casual (it has pretty furniture but it's rattan and you can't really just sprawl on it)but he didn't, so we should respect the way it is and not treat this type of furniture as if it is casual because it's not. (her mom, my sister, thinks my parents are completely uptight. my sister has a farm and owns only cheap furniture from sears.) my neice and her boyfriend left a day earlier, not angrily, but it was uncomfortable. I feel I was rightto speak up, but maybe too reprimanding. Can anyone give an opinion here?

I'm pregnant and due in October. For the past 3wks my boyfriend has decided to acknowledge that the baby is his. But for the other 7months of my pregnancy he hasn't helped me at all. He has contributed $18 to buying things for the baby, I've spent hundreds. Now he and his stepmom think that I should let him claim our child on his tax returns. Then we can "split" the money that the baby brings. I think that I should get to claim him myself and keep the money, because I'm the one that will be providing full time for him, and I've already put all the money into him. Please understand it's not about the money to me, I just don't think that the father should benefit in any way right now. Opinions are appreciated.

Now this guy is sumone who defines the word Nasty and Obnoxious..jealous of me coz he never studied ..and his dad had to spend a fortune on his studies ..The prob is my parents though..who r almost servile to the entire clan..we r new to the area ..and this family lives here for almost 30 yrs

when i talk to my dad ..he shockingly keeps mum..to give u an idea..once this kid even had the gumtion to tell me that thius plot of land that we have was 'donated ' by his granpa to us..I have told all this to my dad..and he just keeps mum to my dismay..hes really servile to all of them..and they keep visting him too when ever they need him..( hes a teacher)

My husbands father married a girl who is younger than my husband, (she's 27), and she keeps on calling herself grammy around my 18 m/o son. It drives me crazy. My husband's mother died just 5 years ago, and he's still very upset about it. His new "step-mother" doesn't make any effort to see my son, any time she's seen him it was on holidays or when I invited her over. My husband doesn't want me to make a seen, but I can tell it really bothers him. What should I say?

My niece is 14 and she screamed at my 19 year old daughter when we were at her home and told her to get out of the house. My daugther is very timid and introverted and is easily bullied. She is very nice and submissive to people. I am always concerned with the way people treat her and I can't believe that my niece would yell and curse at her in a bad way. My daughter cried all the way and now, she is still crying and hurt. I am very upset. My niece said she hates my daughter & said she hates timid, quiet, and introverted people. I talked to her parents and her parents said didn't believe me. They said "My daughter would never yell and curse at people for no reason. If she does, it is definitely because you and your daughter did or said something bad to her. My daughter is very good and would never be mean. It is all your fault that my daughter yelled at your daughter." I don't understand why my niece and her parents would be this way. Why is that? What can I do?

My step daughter will be living with me soon. Her mother is dying from gout and liver cancer. She tells me that I'm the best candidate since I've raised five daughters and two granddaughters and one grandson (in which we've recently lost). My step daughter only sees her father only once a week and he hasn't changed since he was with me years ago. He's still abusing drugs and alcohol. But his ex-girlfriend trust me to be a good mother. Her parents disagree and think that the little girl should be with them. They're in their sixties and set in their ways and are just adjusting to their daughters interracial relationship. We don't think that it would me fair to her. The first example was the act of cutting off the child's hair instead of learning how to take care of her hair. Otherwise they seem very nice.

My fiancee and i are currently in a hard position. We took custody of his 14 yr old child last year but had to give her back because of false alligations made by her about EVERYONE including her mother, aunt, grandparents and my brother. All of the alligations turned out to be false.

The child is currently in her mother's home but her mother will be going to prision in a few days for 15 yrs. We moved in with my parents where my brother lives so we cant take the child back.

What is going to happen to the child? What will happen to my fiancee for not being able to take her?
