My wife parents play favorite. They are quite open that they prefer the company of one of her sisters. That sister was the favorite of the parents forever. Having one sister the favorite of the parents has had an emotional affect on my wife. She has always felt like a step child and has been emotionally hurt by the whole thing.

I asked the parents why they play favorites and just got mad but did agree that the favorite daughter did get special attention. They just said the chemistry was better with the favored sister.

How about you, did your parents play favorites when you were growing up? Do they have a favorite now? How has it affected you?

Last night, I went to bring my daughter her bracelet thing she left at my crib. My ex-mother in law was there with my ex-wife. At first, everything was all cordial, but then she started in. She asked me when my girls were going to have another sister/brother (half) because she knows that eventually the woman I'm with now will end up pregnant. I mean she said it so snidely it made me want to scream. Then she said she better not hear about one of the girls catching me and my new lady doing it, or she will make my life hell. She then asked me what day did I get paid! I asked her why and she just dropped it. She then told me that I need stop acting like a teenager and learn to keep my "thing" in my pants or the woman I'm with will eventually get fed up and leave me.
What gives?

My fiances father got re-married. At the wedding was my fiances real mom's brother. Him and his wife explained that even though his parents got a divorce, its no reason why they cant still be friends.

Normally, an arrangement like this would be fine. But it states directly in their divorce decree that each family is NOT to have contact with each other. (The moms side & dads side)

We promised the brother & wife that we would not tell the mom that they were there. Instead, we took a picture that 'just happened' to have them in the background and 'showed the mom how nice her sons looked'

She saw her brother & wife in the picture & freaked out (rightfully so) But then turned on me & my fiance & called us liars because we 'did not tell her right away' they were there. (its been about 2 weeks since the wedding)

We were trying to do the right thing, we kept our promise to the uncle cause we didnt 'say' anything, yet we still let the mom in on it, and shes mad at us. What to do?

my cousin borrowed $100 off me about a year ago, and said she would pay me back about 3 weeks after she borrowed it. i then moved 3 hours away and hadnt seen or spoken to her. so i forgot about that money. then about 3 months ago she rang and asked me to borrow $500 and she would give it back to me when she got her loan which was a week after. so i said she could give me back the $100 she owed me as well. well when she got her loan she said it didnt come through. (she is a compulsive liar) then she said she would pay me off $20 a week. she then came to visit and stole my sons $5! my 3 year old son. i no it was only $5.. but it was my sons, and now she hasnt even bothered to give me back the money. i live 3 hours away and i dont see her often. she was ment to be putting it into my account. what can i do to get her to give it back to me. it is really annoying me!

It makes me so mad! >:-( I don't wanna tell her that I don't want to learn how to cook cuz if do.......she'll ground me for a long time and I'll still have to cook for her! I really don't want an answer on how to tell her, or what to do to not learn. I just wanted to let my anger out. I feel a little bit better. <:-) that's better!

My son worked for Regal movies at location A, but quit due to mangers promising the moon and giving him nothing. He was rehired by location B last Monday. He was told last Thursday that since he was not in the computer yet, he would not get paid on Friday July 27. My husband and I told him I was going with him to speak with his manger. The manger refused to speak with me, but an asst. told my son and I that the manger stated he will get paid on Friday.
Well, checks come in on Thursday--guess what no check-- and on top of that another asst. manger called my home tonight around 7pm looking for my son- who was due at work for 6pm. Mean mistake!
When I talked with my son around 8pm he told me that they don't know when he will be paid- maybe next Friday or maybe he will get two check in two weeks.
I think I should call this manger up and tell them they need to print my son his check and fedex it from TN.
Any options----

I was working with a family member helping him do some stuff in his office. The problem is he has an attitude so I've decided to quit. Yet I dont want to call him and tell him that I quit because I dont want to talk to him. My mom won't call for me because she says it's not her business and I agree with her. No one will call for me and I refuse to call myself. What do I do?

Hi, I'm 17 and me and my boyfriend (whom I really, really trust) are both virgins and we would like to have sex, we both think that sex is something quite intimate and special to share with someone, especially for the first time.

So, I want to tell my mom that I want to have sex (but that will be next summer), that I want her to know and that I want to be safe...would she like to know that kind of thing, how would she react, and most importantly how should I tell her?

Only serious answers please, and nothing like "you're too young" stuff...

Thank you so much in advance:)

How in the h-e-l-l does this happen? How could this excuse possibly be believable? What do you think really happened? Ideas on prosecution?

CONCORD, Calif. -- A man was arrested Wednesday night after he mistakenly left his 11-month-old son in a hot car while he went to work in Concord. The boy was found dead more than six hours later.

Police said 46-year-old Danny Takemoto has been booked on suspicion of felony manslaughter.

Takemoto told police that he forgot to drop off the child at a day care center and instead drove to work Wednesday morning. His wife phoned him shortly before 3:30 p.m. to ask where their son was, prompting Takemoto to race out to the SUV and find the baby's lifeless body.

The temperature in Concord reached 87 degrees, but would have been much higher inside the vehicle.

Authorities said an autopsy likely will be conducted Thursday.

Under California law, leaving a child age 6 or younger alone in a vehicle is a citable offense.

About a month ago my mother in law came down to visit. She brought her black labrador with her. She didnt want to put her dog outside while we went out to dinner, so she left him inside. When returned to my home her dog had chewed up my couch, there was cotton, fabric and sponge stuff everywhere. my mother-in-law apologized and said she would buy me a new couch. well the couch is falling apart more and more each day since the incident. It is so embarrasing when I have guest over. But she said once I found one I liked to call her. But I feel bad about asking her because she just bought a new house. How can approach this situation?

My biological father was a drunk, violent, angry man.
every little thing would set him off. It got so bad that my mother and I (age 4) had to go into hiding from him. We couldn't go to family because he would find out, no we had no choice but to hide in a women's shelter. And still he didn't stop, over two months past thinking it was safe to put our life back together; he shows up again. By the time my step-father moved in, still it didn't stop. When it finally stopped two years later, I found I too started delveloping anger issues; angry at myself for not being able to do anything. Still I was the quiet kid in school always the butt of everyone's jokes untill I graduated from high-school found the young lady I want to spend my life with; and it scares me because I feel that I may become what I hate most. Now at 21&1/2 I can't take it anymore! I at one point wanted to call off my relation with my girlfriend to protect her. But I want to be with her... and she wants to help but..yeah.

My parents in their 70's- me in my 40's married and have daughter- 2 brothers in their 50's married, I have 3 nephews and 1 neice. I mow my parents grass, do moms hair weekly, groom their dog, run mom to doctors, etc.. Mom has a neurological disease and dad a heart condition. Brothers and family does NOTHING to help them AT ALL- I do everything- today dad drove to water one brother's yard and flowers- then ran to the other's to let their dog out because they are down the shore for a week. They take vacations all the time, live their life, meanwhile I bust my rump for them and today I told my mother it bugs the hell out of me that treat my brothers like royalty, and I am crap. Mom didn't answer me- I mentioned how in my family My parents always go to either brothers for holidays, we never get a holiday EVEN MY SISTER IN LAWS MOM GETS NEW YEARS! Mom said nothing- I am right, they treat me like crap then buy us stuff. Should I back off or what? I need a life and tired of being tired.

I started wearing a bra 1 month ago. It sucks, it's hot, I asked mom to get started in the fall but she said I need one and couldn't wait. She's nice, a great mom, I really love her but when she makes a decision she doesn't back off. I complained, complained just to get some kisses and a soft "no way hun, you have to get used, love ya". I promised I'd wear and wouldn't take it off behind her back. Yesterday I was at a friend's home w/ other girls, it was hot and they took off their bras. They told me to take off mine too, no one would see us. I said I promised mom to keep it on, they laughed, said Ok, it's up to you. I called mom and asked her if I could take my bra off, she said Come on, you call me at work to ask something like that! But then she laughed and just said No way hun. I obeyed. But would it be OK if I took it off without asking her? No one would see. Can't I take it off when I'm in my room? Is this a disobedience? Sometimes we pay a price for being a good girl
