I am afraid if your mom is not going to listen to you now, she's not going to suddenly change and start listening to you because of anything you say or do. So now you need to take things to the next level.

My advise would be to talk to a school counselor and next time your step dad yells at you or throws stuff at you, you need to call the police.

Good luck. I will say a prayer for you and your sister.

This is a tough question...I too have a stepdad who I've had since I was 4 and I hate his guts. He's not overly abusive but he's like a loose cannon and I never know when he is going to blow up at the slightest thing. I have since moved out, but my mom is still living with him and my little brother. She knows about the situation and has always known, but never really ignored it...she has always been on my side...anyway, maybe your mom is in denial about the situation. Maybe she doesn't want to admit there is a problem. Have you tried talking to a counelor about this with your mom and sister present? You should try to tell whoever you can to bring attention to this if you truely feel threatened. Has he ever been abusive? if he has ever been physically abusive toward any of you, I would suggest trying to seek help before it gets worse. Get out of there if you can when it gets really bad...go to a friend's or relatives house...that's what I did when it got bad at my house...I would avoid it as much as possible...I hope this helps...and I hope it gets better for you. Living with an evil step parent is no fun.
