My parents do nothing but stress me out. I was folding clothes today, and my mom told me to fold my younger brother's clothes. I figured that HE should fold them because he was sitting down playing video games.

NO I'm not lazy, because I folded everyone else's clothes, but I didn't fold his because he wasn't busy. So he wasn't mad at all and said that he would take care of his socks because he understood why that would make me mad.

So I went back to what I was doing and my mom started yelling at me telling me to fold his socks. He explained that he would fold them himself and she was like,"THANK you." Like he had done HER a favor.

She ALWAYS gets an attitude with me and I am the one that HELPS HER with the chores around the house. She never makes anyone else do anything because they are boys and she says that I should do the housework (even though they don't do anything else.)

I have tried keeping a diary to vent about my feelings, but she has read it and got even MADDER at me.

For the employers.... if you have a part time clerical position open somewhere and you are giving 2 different times of the day to pick to work which are 8-12PM or 1PM-5PM.... would you let a person work 8-12 on Tuesday and Thursdays and then 1-5 on mondays and wednesdays so it will fit their schedules if they go to college??

My mother passed away 2 years ago. My parents were married for 56 years. My dad had purchased A LOT of jewelry for my mom and her biggest fear was after she died that my dad would find some "twinkie" and give her all her jewelry.

Recently dad met another woman (Lu).. They've been dating 6 months. I met Lu several times and watched to see how their chemistry was together. It was definately there on dad's part but not on Lu's part. I saw no sign that she's even likes him that much. She's also very rude. She made snide comments during dinner.

Yesterday dad said they had yet another argument and he broke up with her. Today he told me they talked and that he gave her mom's diamond earrings. I told him he can not buy her affection but what else can I say to him to make him understand that Lu is just using him for a meal ticket and now jewelry? He takes her to eat 6 or 7 times a week.

None of us 6 kids want him to be lonely but none of us like this particular woman.

My dad is a very verbally violant person, when he gets mad he doesnt even think about what he says. He has called up the government many times to tell them he doesnt like whats going on. One time he called up "fish & game" the local wildlife branch of the government because he wasnt happy that they created some new regulation...he threatened to go blow himself up rnext to their building. The police came to our house that day to make sure he wasnt going to do that. The police have also came to our house before because of complaints from people who felt threatened by him or cause they felt my dad harassed them. Well today my dad called up some airforce place because we keep getting sonic booms in our area and he was yelling at them to quit because its causing alot of problems in our nabourhood. He threatened to go make booms near their houses so their windows would break....(that happened to on of my dads friends because of the sonic booms) WHAT DO I DO...i dont wanna be taken away

Okay - so I'm babysitting for my brother and sister tomorrow. They are both in their thirties and married. I am 13. I'll babysit Michael's three kids (under 7 years of age) from 11am - 4pm and then babysit Shell's two kids (under the age of 3) from 4pm to 12midnight. Because they are my siblings, should I give them such an extreme discount? Mom want me to babysit for 13 hours tommorow and get NOTHING. I love kids especially the ones I'm babysitting, but I want SOMETHING to show for the 13 hours I'll babysit! Michael's been paying me $3 an hour for his three little ones (under the age of 7!) - is that okay?? I don't know what Shell's paying. Like same as Michael - a dollar an hour per kid...is that okay? They ARE my siblings and...well...really don't have lots of money...is it wrong to want more? And how much more?

My ex-husbands parents want to see my son. My son has no contact with his father. My ex-husbands parents, which is his biological mother and a step father, (his biological father is deceased), want my son to spend the night at their house. I told them no, not at this time. They have visitation as long as he comes home by 8pm because his bedtime is 8:30. They argue with me about it everytime. They claim that they are too tired to make the drive to my house because they are older now. They are 52 and 48 years old, and they live 30 minutes away from my house. I dont know the exact reason why they feel that they have to have my son spend the night. The only thing that I can come up with is that they want their son to see him. My sons father is not allowed to see him right now. We are in the middle of a divorce. However because they want him to spend the night and I wont let him they are threatening to take me to court for their rights. Is there a law that he has to stay the night?

My sister only calls when she wants something, like when she needs me to keep her children while she goes out somewhere or when she needs to borrow some money. She never calls to chit-chat with me or is ever concerned about me.

I recognized this pattern years ago after we both married and left home and I would call her to say hello. It was always one-way, never both ways until she wanted something.

I have my own family! I no longer available to her.

Am I wrong for calling her out on this (I'm being made out to be the monster in my family for having an attitude about it)? Should I feel guilty for not helping my sister EVERY SINGLE time she wants me to?

The most frustrating part of all of this is that my parents and brothers also say that I have an attitude about it. To me, it seems everybody else can be considerate of everybody else except for me. I deserve respect from my family

In my opinion, my sister is trying to use emotional blackmail to get what she wants....

She plans to be with her parents, he comes back "I made plans 4 us to be with mine," She had made hers in advance, but if he talks to his parents the night before she is expected to do what he says or he raises holy Hades with her until she calls her 82 yr old parents & cancel. Then when she gets out to his parents house, they complain that they do not see them enough & to come out more often..yet she sees her parents once in a blue moon! Does this seem fair to you? Especially when SHE cleared out all of next week "Just to spend time with HIS family" & then they still expect her to set aside time in the following week to do things with them! She, is having a baby and has to get older son ready for school and there are Dr.s appointments to go to & school clothing & supplies to buy, ect ect. YET she is the bad guy because son, who will also be busy, has to go with her. Yet they just saw them the bloody week before! & there is not enough time before school starts!Does it seem fair?

My husband's father died last year. They weren't close AT ALL, in fact hadn't spoken in at least 6+yrs. He was sort of a hateful man, who husband never knew was his father till age 15 1/2yrs. old. His wife splits up the ashes and mails husbands sister and him some, in a baggie, taped up, in a cardboard box. Hubby opens box, and now they are in a clock that has a drawer in it....Father in law was very nasty to me, for the most part of the 27+yrs I am married....I am Jewish, he was very prejudice and actually pointed a loaded gun at me once, from a 8 ft distance, man used to hunt a lot when in good health.....I don't want them in my home at all.....ya'll are the only ones who know this, I don't want to hurt my husband by saying that, even though they weren't close at all, still I know that sounds bad....We live very close to one of the largest fishing/hunting areas in the country...take him there! Do I voice my opinion, or stay creeped out?.......

Kids can be so mean. We just moved into our neighborhood 2 years ago. Kids are always coming to our house to play with the kids. Recently, one of the kids told my daughter it was "better" before we moved here. That no one used to argue and they had soooo much fun. Well, my daughter was so hurt by this. I try to tell her it's not true....that "if it was true they wouldn't be over constantly and wondering where you are when you aren't home and what time you will be home cuz they want to play etc...." I also will tell my kids that this is life.....people will say things throughout life that will upset you; it never ends - you just have to learn to deal with it. Am I worrying too much as usual?
