Sounds like a support group should be started, if it's not available. Good thing mine lives out of the country, but my poor husband's mother-in-law lives a few blocks away. LOL

i did no longer detect a question yet enjoyed examining it besides. it relatively is sturdy suggestion or maybe nonetheless no person asked you, thank you for writing it. As a MIL i'd prefer to characteristic an undemanding MYOB MIL. Translated potential techniques your guy or woman enterprise mom In regulation. to no longer the above author, she's cool. yet please ... MIL's .. do no longer provide suggestion once you're no longer asked and don't tell each individual the thank you to do some thing. you're very experienced at being a mom, grandmother....etc. yet issues replace sometimes and family individuals to family individuals. So, if all of us MOurOB anybody is chuffed. it is not undemanding to no longer tell a DIL she is putting the diaper on the incorrect end of the toddler yet she'll discover out quickly adequate.

You are not alone. I have a controlling MIL who tries to put herself as top priority in our lives. She wants to have a say in whatever we do and expects her son to call her everyday and visits her once a month (she lives 3.5 hours away) to do stuffs for her. She gets mad all the time with my husband if she thinks he doesnt listen to her.
What do i do? I am glad I am not living together with her. I give her my due respect, be concern for her and husband, calling her up to ask if they are ok etc. I always respect them and be nice to them, irregardless of whether she likes me or not. Just learn to maneuver around her. Oh, she is the most fussy, most bias and most sensitive woman i ever met. Worries all the time and upset all the time.
I always tell my husband and myself... she is old, let her be. Feel sorry for her husband but then that is not my problem. For the respect i give her, i think she gives me due respect too. So far so good....
