In any male/female relationship, sometimes the man has more control and sometimes the female does. In this situation who do you think has most of the control? Since you did state that they are divorced, it also depends on whom you live with and what the legal paperwork states about custody. Lastly it will depend on how bad each wants to fight for this one issue. I am guessing that you do not want to change schools, so talk to your mom. Problems do not go away by just changing schools. Fights can occur anywhere.

Tough situation. Are they generally able to make good decisions for you since the divorce without arguing about it? How do you feel about the school changing idea? Have you seen the other school and do you think changing school would be an answer to your problems with the fighting? Without really knowing the situation or your family, maybe you could try to have some input by talking to both of them about it and not just waiting for a decision. Yes, I think it should be up to your parents to make a the right decision for you, but maybe they could let you be involved and not just tell you at the end what the decision is. Hope it works out for you - not easy when parents are divorced and things are a bit tense - hope you don't do what some kids do and play one off against the other (doesn't sound like it) :). Good luck.

Seems to me that your mom and dad both need to get togeather as a team and come up with a plan that would be best for ALL involved, not just you. Your probably playing your mom against your dad in this situation and that isnt fair. Your mom and dad and you need to talk about why you got into fights and if it would be better for you to get out of this kind of enviornment or not, But seems to me that it cant be that bad making somthing differnet at another school, this could be a fresh start for you...

I think that your parents need to talk to the counselor at your school about the situation before making any decisions.
