She seems obsessed with this and next time she says anything I would bring that point up. Ask her why she is so obsessed with lesbians.

Ahh, see, this is what the media pushes on everyone. You can't even hold hands with your best friend without being accuesed of being a lesbian [my best friend and i do that all the time]. Tell your mom that it's obvious you guys are best friends, but nothing more. She can't just assume you guys are lesbians because you have sleepovers. It's fine and normal to change in the same room; it shows you're comfortable enough to do so infront of your friends. And really, with the bed situation, who really wants to sleep on the floor? You can share a bed so everyone is comfortable and no one is mad!

HOw old is your mom??! She is either very young or very old I would guess. Your mother is being ridiculous. This is what young girls do. Your mother seriously needs someone to talk to her because what she is saying to her own daughter is very inappropriate and since she is so candid with you, I think you should tell her just like that exactly. Tell her she is tabooing your innocense and that she is being immature. That is how you should handle it. I can't believe your mother would say such things to you.. Just look at her and be opposite and you should be ok.. and by they way,, if you were lesbian,, that still is awful that you were mother would say such things.. Not saying you are.. but, I wouldn't let your more deter you in any way. She sounds depressed or at least has low self-esteem.

ehhh, wow Ur moms paranoid. but its not weird to sleep in the same bed in Ur jammies like with a tank top and shorts. but it is kinda weird at least to me that you would sleep with just a bra and panties with friends over, so maybe u should get Ur friends to wear the tang top and shorts at slumber parties. but about changing in the same room, tell her its just like the locker room at school. it may not be easy to convince her but you can make some differences like i said with tank top and shorts at the very least. but i hope this helps a little.....

She must of been pretty tight when she was growing up and didn't change in front of or had sleep overs as a young girl because that is just what girls do. With her calling you a lesbian I can't see how she thinks that is being a good parent.
Good luck with this...tell her to back off...

as a guy its hott but your moms got issues...clearly w/ gay people....im not gay so i dont give a rats *** but still...you need to tell her to chill the hell out and deal w/ the fact that you have girls stayin in ur room and change infront of 'em. What was she raised in the 40's? What a weirdo....tell her to shut up if she tells u ur a carpet muncher...Dont take that crap from her.

The best thing to do is try to ignore her. My best friend and I were always thought to be gay because of the same things. We would sleep together, change together, even go in the bathroom together. You seem to have a strong bond with your friends - don't let anyone jeopardize that because they are narrow-minded.

woah relax if your mom thinks that let her you know the truth your not and even if you were she needs to be more open minded afterall picking at you isnt going to work it'll only make things worst and strain your relationship. and if you and your friends are comfortable doing that then there should be no problem whatever its almost like the lockers at school whatever. but dont go out with the first guy you see you'll only hurt him because you'll just be using him.

i don't know how to change your mom's mind. but i will tell you one thing. u r doing NOTHING wrong. and even if u were gay (which i am not saying u r) your mother should love u no matter what!!! don't feel bad just cause she has her "thoughts"!!! just be u and just try to get by. if u think your mother will listen maybe you can have a good long conversation with her and tell her how u really feel. but get her when she is in a great mood. pick a good time to talk to her about it!!!!

GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS!!!!

i went through the same thing with my dad.me and my best friend take showers together, too, but we're also rele big flirts and we always talk about guys.i think parents are just paranoid.
it pisses me off a lot too,but mostly because my dad just says it to get a rise out of me,not because he rele believes it.
tell her it's normal.remind her that girls hav to change/shower in front of each other in locker rooms, too.since you're not gay,it doesn't matter to you to be so close to your friends.
just sit down and try to talk to her.if she still doesn't believe you,w/e.that's her problem.
(maybe you should even show her this.)

have her actually see that you're not a lesbian. have hang around with you guys for a minute while you're in the house and see your not like that with them. or tell her about a new crush you have on a guy that goes to your school. make her understand that it's perfectly normal for girls to sleep in the same bed. everyone does it and it's almost rude to have them sleep on the ground.
