My friend just called me & he picked up the phone saying that I wasn't home. When I looked in the caller I.D. menu, it showed her number. I picked up the phone to call her back but he told me to put it back in the reciever. He has been always like this, it was enough for my sister to place a restraining order over him. My oldest brother even resents him for past things that he has done to him. Both of my parents are complete air heads when it comes to being a parent. But it is easier to talk with mom rather than dad though she ignores everything unpleasing in her life. I think the way my dad has pushing me, he thinks I will turn out like my sister & block him out of my life. But I know that I won't because sometimes he just doesn't know what he is doing. My dad use to hit us but stopped a long time ago. Though he doesn't use physical abuse, he uses emotional abuse. A few days ago he told me to call my friend a bi*tch because she called the house so many times.I am 15 y.o. by the way.

Ok, so my inlaws and my family dont get along at all (because of an incident 7 years ago).... my sons 6th birthday is tomorrow, I always let my kids pick where they want to have their party and they always choose a park near my home and my mothers home. You can rent a pavillion there and there are bathrooms. My mother in law refuses to go to parties where my parents are and is mad that its near my moms house and not hers, she lives in a different county (just over a bridge) but all of the kids friends live not far from where we are having the party. my husband is throwing a fit saying next year were doing it near his mothers which is 20 min from where the kids friends live and you cant rent the pavillion as far as i know.... what do i do in this situation??? what can i do to get her to start coming to the kids birthdays... not to mention buying them equal gifts.. my son got 4 new ps2 games and my daughter got 2 outfits from kohls....how do i stop the favortism??!

ok, so I sort of borrowed my sisters clothing (witout asking) and spilled grape juice on her white skirt and i tried to clean it up but it just made it worse. In my house I get spankings if I am bad (I enjoy it ) and my little sister wants to spank me. Should I go along with it or just ignore her and get her a new skirt?

My Mum died 7 years ago and my Dad has been with his girlfriend for around 5 years. My sister, 18, doesn't particularly like her. we don't live with my father, but i usually stay with him on weekends. my Dad's girlf's son's are grown up with their own families.
i feel like my family are always making the comprises for her family. when we finally argeed to go on holiday with my sis, her boyf, Dad, his girlf & me she said that we couldn't because she argeed to look after her sons rabbit and house while they were away for 2 weeks. yet that time was the only time me & my sis could go away because of our school exams.
& now we can't go away at all because of her back problem.
last time i went away with them plus her granddaughter she took lots of pictures of her granddaughter & my Dad but not me i felt really left out because we are usually quite close. they don't talk me me much in the car amore, i like spending time with them but do they not what me around so much anymore?

As a kid we always think "You know what i'm going to be a lot happier when i'm older, i can do a lot more things" But once you're an adult you've got bills to deal with and jobs, not including whether or not you have children and/or a husband. Then again as kids, we have limitations unlike adults. Although we don't have to worry about gas money or give a darn about how much money we waste on clothes. We do have to deal with homework, chores, and we don't get to do as much as we'd like and we don't get to have sex. This could all depend on how you were raised, but would you rather stay a kid or an adult?

backstabbihg! I have two kids (ages 7&8) and they don't know ALOT of their extended family. I feel bad about that but I am wondering if it's worth all of the craziness that goes along with it!??! It's my mom's side of the family & she is not going because she don't get along with her brothers & sisters (AT ALL)! She asked me not to go because she's worried about her sisters asking where she is at. But I really would like my kids to know her side of the family. They have many cousins they should know. I have many things I have to do tomorrow & will have to rush everywhere I go so it won't be easy squeezing a family reunion in anyways but I'm torn between what to do! What do you think is the right thing to do?!? Please help!!!

Fathers day is coming up and i wanted to do something nice for my boyfriend who is the father of our 5 month old son and also the father to a 5 yr old girl with another women. Because money is kind of tight and he drinks alot of coffee i thought it would be cute to order one of those coffee mugs from walmart and put a picture of our son on one mug and his daughter from a past relationship on another mug. Well that little girl is currently with her mom for the time being and i wanted a recent picture. so i asked his sister to call the mom and see if she could take a picture of the little girl and send it through email so that we could print it out to place on mug as well as a pillow case. I have met her and she actually made a good first impression on me which usually most dont. But anyway its not like we talk or anything cause im just not the type really but oh well thats just something i'll have to deal with it. But i really think it would be cute to do. Opinions please..

ok ... so i live with my mom and soon to be step-dad and i cannnottttt stand it when i have to go somewhere and they always have to go together. i dont know .. maybe that's wierd but idk .. like i jus asked my mom a few minutes ago if she could take me to practice in the mornin and she was like sure "WE'LL pick you up at 10" and i was like ughhhhhhhhhhhhh its like allll the time ... they cant be apart their so co-dependent its scary ... and i jus ... Iam 21 year old female , and Iam going to be a 22 in Nov..

I still live with my parents..and my dad recently bought a house and everyone is excited to go and live there...even iam..but thinking about it...just makes me feel ashamed and embaressed by still living with my parents.., My parents didnt or even ever mentioned me to move out..but i just dont feel good about it...

I want to know..if iam really that lame to still live with my parents? i do study in college and work part time..

okay first off I dont want to sound like i am whining, but right now my life is crazy. i am indian and my parents are strict and im 19, well..i have a bf who i love with all my heart, but he lives in england and im secretly (my fam doesnt know) engaged to him. :) Well..we are in america and we have so many problems in the family...marital probs..we fight every single day about money...i have an elder brother who failed his classes in college, he just doesnt care..my mom depressed..my lil brother is only 7.and my dad is an workaholic..and I could easily runaway frm all this and be with my fiance in england..but no matter how much i want to leave, i want to stay and support my fam and not put them to shame..but i just want to be happy and be with my fiance in england *sigh*.but i decided i am going to college here and after college marry my fiance and then be happy. i just feel like i should sacrifice my happiness now for the sake of fam and wait..what should i do? i want to be happy :(

My Finace has a child from a previous marriage. He wanted to tell the child for MANY years but the ex wife say the child first too young, then going through pre teens, NOW she said that she do not want to put too much stress on an High school student 16 years old. Last month during a family event we all were at the family were all talking about having babies and adoption, His cousin a female Doctor is adopting now. The grandmother made a comment to the family that she wish her granddaughter (the doctor) would Birth her own child as her oldest child then adopt later because Her Grandson (my fiance)and the Ex wife birth a child then adopted later.. Oh the look on my fiance face because the adults only knew about the adoption of his child but His nieces and nephews and younger cousins were all sitting around wondering who was adopted? I must say of course they figured it out instantly because the adopted child is the 2nd child.
