say the following: ( Or both )
. You are allergic to fish
. You get really sea sick on boats
Or you could...
A. fake an illness, like the chills with a head ache and clammy palms with disorientation.
B. Already say you have a big event to attend, like a friends recital. or a job, like house and pet sitting for example.
C. Lie and say you have to attend an all day school fundraiser at your school for a special cause.
D. Say you have a HUGE project you have due in two days and haven't even started, so you need to stay home and cram.
If worse comes to worse...
Your uncle isn't buying the fake excuses and you can't get out of it- The perfect plan.
If you used the first part of the excuse, This is the plan:
1.) Act normal around your uncle, but when you get there warn him you were telling the truth about the allergies and the sea sick-ness.
2.) bring packets of relish, ketchup, and mustard in your life vest or pocket.
3.) If you get on a boat, which you most likely will do, take some water that you bring along and when you get out in the middle of the lake, swish the condiments around in your mouth with the water and make heaving noises over the side of the boat while moaning and groaning. call your uncle over for help and "throw up" the evidence in front of him. then you'll be able to go home.
Those are pretty good and worked for me!
GOOD LUCK!

I'm wondering why you have to go fishing...and why you don't want to go? Has something happened on a previous trip? If so, could you speak to your mum about it and explain, then maybe you won't have to go?
Or is it that there is something that you would much rather do? Perhaps you want to be with your uncle, but don't like the fishing, in which case you could ask him if you could go somewhere else? Please give us more information on the problem.

Oh no, all this homework I forgot about, the essay I have to turn in?
A program you really want to watch? Educational one?
If he really pushes it, just ask why you guys have to fish. Can you do something else? Or do you not like him? Maybe your folks want to have time together and asked him to take you out somewhere? My uncle took us fishing and we caught a trout, it was delicious. He's too old now to drive. But it was fun. Good luck finding an excuse.

dude, you can't just make up stupid reasons to not go fishing with your uncle... i mean, he's your uncle!! what do you hate so much about fishing? get some alone time with your uncle, and talk to him. just say politely that you don't want to go fishing. he'll probably thank you for telling the truth and not making up reasons not to go.
good luck!!

You might enjoy it, it's what men do when they want a boozy weekend with their mates. If your old enough take some beers, a portable bbq, a tent etc, it will be a laugh. Its an experience if you've not done it before. If it's not your cup of tea then you just say to your uncle that you didn't really enjoy it last time then he won't ask you again. B honest.

You have to have the freedom to say that you do not care for fishing. OR is it that you do not care for your Uncle? Either way you should be able to decline. I wonder how old you are. Can you make up a white lie about why you cant go? or is telling the truth easier?

Why not try to get to know him instead. I bet he can tell you interesting things. Or maybe ask him if you can do something else if you do not like fishing. He just wants to spend time with you. I'm older now and I wish I could have gotten to know my aunts and uncles better but we lived so far apart.

Aww c'mon. Will it kill you to just take him out fishing one day? Sometimes we place too many expectations on ourselves. For example, you strike me as a serious person who probably wants everything to work out perfectly.
Taking your uncle fishing with you probably has you envisioning him just messing up everything, & creating a somewhat less than perfect day.
Well!
What if you lowered your expectations? Why not try changing the purpose of a day of fishing with your uncle?
For example:
Instead of making the purpose of going fishing with your uncle; to catch fish. Change the purpose in your mind to just be a day where you give your uncle the gift of the experience of a day of fishing with you, & nothing else.
Nobody has to catch a darn thing on this day, & I bet your uncle will be eternally gratefull for you making the effort to grant him his wish.
Just a thought. ;-)
