Fathers day is coming up and i wanted to do something nice for my boyfriend who is the father of our 5 month old son and also the father to a 5 yr old girl with another women. Because money is kind of tight and he drinks alot of coffee i thought it would be cute to order one of those coffee mugs from walmart and put a picture of our son on one mug and his daughter from a past relationship on another mug. Well that little girl is currently with her mom for the time being and i wanted a recent picture. so i asked his sister to call the mom and see if she could take a picture of the little girl and send it through email so that we could print it out to place on mug as well as a pillow case. I have met her and she actually made a good first impression on me which usually most dont. But anyway its not like we talk or anything cause im just not the type really but oh well thats just something i'll have to deal with it. But i really think it would be cute to do. Opinions please..

I think that's a very nice thing to do, as long as your bf has a good relationship with his first child. I think it's very mature of you to accept the situation and the other mother (even if you don't talk, it's obvious you are okay with it). Great idea.

It sounds like a great idea and I think it's especially thoughtful of you to want to include his other daughter. Sounds like you have a good plan that will make your man very proud and happy. If you aren't comfortable to speaking to the other woman, then I think it's fine to have someone else call. I don't think there's anything wrong with that. I like it. As a divorced Mom with a step-mom in my daughters' life, I appreciate the fact that the other woman shows respect for my girls and does the little things for them that keep them in their Dad's life. By including your boyfriend's daughter you are showing a lot of class. It keeps the kids on even levels (face it, kids just want to feel loved - it is us adults that screw it up most of the time) and that will mean a great deal to them as they get older.

I think thats cute... and if you have a hard time getting a recent pic of his daughter... a good idea is to use a pic of her... where she is the same age as your son...
that would be nice!
