My mother & brother are always walking in without permission and it really bothers me. My door has no lock though, and my mom doesn't want me to have any privacy & my brother's just annoying.

Your mother needs to respect your wish for privacy especially where your brother is concerned. Sit down alone with her and quietly talk with her about how you feel. Without getting angry or sassy, try to get her to tell you about when she was growing up. Maybe that will help her remember how important privacy is to a young lady. Otherwise, I suppose you could put a chair back under your door knob like they show in the movies.

This may not be best for the situation with your mom, but with my brother, I wedged a chair under the door handle when I wanted privacy and that made it impossible for him to enter.

I ahd the same problem... still do. I kept yelling at my mother saying knock first... then I just started doing the same to her. It stopped, sort of. Explain you need privacy. If they don't understand... study their patterns (like I did) and find your own privacy.

can you put a sign on the door asking people to knock first..? Do you have a chair that you can put in front of it to block people from entering .?

Tell your brother the next time he walks in on you in your bedroom you are going to walk in on him in the bathroom.. that might work.

Nicely tell your mom that you can not walk in on her in her room with dad so could she please not walk in on you in your bedroom, that you are not doing anything wrong that you would just like some notice first before someone one walks in, in case you have no clothes on..

Can you or would you be aloud to buy yourself a lock for your door.?

when you live in their house you live by their rules. You can give your parents the i am growing up and i need my privacy speech and see if that works.
