I am a stay at home mother of three beautiful children aged 8, 6 and 3. My husband works long hours and earns a good income. We cannot afford luxuries such as holidays, and nights out at restaurants etc however we always pay our bills on time and we are able to provide essentials such as clothing and food without any problems. We are paying off our own home and we own our cars etc and have no other debt. My husband would like for me to go back to work within the next year or so as we are starting to outgrow our current home. My dilemma is that I had no intention of going back to work ever as I believe that my place is at home raising our children. I dont know how I could juggle both home and work and give them the same level of care as they are receiving now. They are all very happy, very well adjusted children and I am very happy being a stay at home Mum. Am I being selfish in not wanting to return to work?

I just got done watching the movie "The Long Way Home" about a family where the father has just moved back in after leaving for molesting his daughter. He had gone through therapy and such.

My question is this: If your spouse molested one of your children and was caught, would you allow him or her to return home after he or she had completed treatment/jail/etc.? I'm just curious what other people think about the situation put forth in this movie. Anyone know a family who took back the molester?

We have family members that wants to come and sleep over at our house. Unfortunately I have a huge problem with them, they don't clean up after themselves (even if you ask them directly) and they are a bit unhigienic as well. They cause a lot of tension between me and my hubby because I don't want them to sleepover. It's fine if they visit for the day, that I can cope with, but other than that I just don't have the patience. And I'm not talking about them leaving dirty mugs somewhere, I'm talking really bad stuff. Any advice/ideas on how we can resolve this? I don't want my hubby to not see them, but I also don't want it to cause so much strain on our relationship.

i found a hairstyle i want so bad. but it is 2 toned. she wont let me dye my hair! ive even asked for a compromise like instead of the jet black and white, black and blonde. i dont even live with her. i think i should be able to express my personality with my hair. i need some good beg lines/argumeants. My husband and I got divorced in November and he doesn't have anything to do with the boys because he is angry with me. One day we had an argument and he said really ugly things about me in front of them. My oldest son said he wanted a new daddy who wasn't mean to his mother and ever since then their dad has used that as an excuse not to have a relationship with them. BTW we broke up because his mother controlled his life and advised him to leave me and "my kids" alone.

one of my family members recently came in from out of town.And when she was in the bathroom pooping she didnt lock the door or turn the lights on so i thought that no one was in there so i walked in shut the door turned around and saw her pooping, i saw her bush,thong and her ****. i didnt know what to do so i sorta just stood there and she said ill be done in a sec.then right in front of me she got up wiped her privates and asked me to help her button her pants cause i was in there and i did and she didnt eve flush the toilet so i saw all her poop while i went im seeing her tommorow wat should i do please help

and it's something really really really bad, but it was a few years ago and you're still thinking about it? it's gotten so bad that you feel real guilty and having nightmares. and you feel like you should have come forward and told somebody about it and you haven't. because you never told anyone and someone else got blamed for it who shouldn't have. And the person who should get blamed for it is really close to you, should you tell? and the person doesn't even know I know. nobody know's that I know. but if I do tell, people are going to say, why did i wait this long. and I don't want to see the guilty person get in trouble because they're family and the person who got blamed was a friend of the family. but it's real serious what they did. Why did i have to see?

I am a single dad with custody of my 2 kids. I have a girl(10) and a boy(6). Normally I do all the things around the house after I put them to bed. They are wanting me to give them an allowance. I only give them money when they do out of the ordinary, like clean the yard with out me telling them to do so, or if my girl does the laundry with out me asking.

So, What are some reasonable chores for them to do everyday?

What do you think the allowance should be? For my girl, I thought $1.25 a day and the boy $1 a day. Should they get the same or what? Thanks for any help.

I am getting tired of doing everything myself but I will do what ever it takes. I do ask them for help every now and then. They make their beds every morning and they do keep up with their own rooms. I will not clean them, but I will help them.

I stay home cause I go to college and it is easier for me to survive, but I want to leave and feel like I should cause my parents fight all the time. Most of the time it is just loud nasty arguments, but today it got physical and I had to break it up. I thought my father was going to kill her. A couple of times I almost got hurt. I don't know what to do, they have been together 29 years and this is something that no matter how often you see it you can't get used to it. I don't want to see it, I don't want to live it, I just don't know what to do. I have siblings but they can't do anything, they are younger then me. I can't really tell my friends and family too ashamed. Any suggestions?

Here's the story, i got a job, after 9 months, i quit because i joined a program at a local college, so i couldn't work, then go to regular school,. then go to college program. So I quit. A year later, the program ended, and i didn't go back to work. My mom ask me not to go back to work so i can help take my brother to his music classes and help her with driving because she going through menopause, and she can't drive because she gets really nervous and scared. So my 2 aunts, are always talking behind my back. Saying i'm lazy for not getting a job. They always ask if something wrong with me, like if i'm sick or something. I hate when they ask for help, and me being stupid, i go help. But you know wants funny, one of my aunts husband doesn't work or even supports her. Instead, my aunt supports her husband and kids. She like the man/wife of the house. Then my other aunt, her daughter is 26 yrs old, and she has a "job" that let's her go whenever she wants to go. What should i do?

everytime i get in trouble, i get hit.. like bad.. my hair gets pulled i get punched in the head, and soo on. i have other sisters and 1 brother who get the same thing. my brother is mentally retared and he gets it real bad. my mom doesnt do anything about it. and im just sooo sick of it. im 14 and my sisters are younger then me accept one she is 16. i was just wonderin if i can go talk to the cops with out any evidence? i sure my sisters will talk to them too. like be witnesses. and if i can, what will happen to him? will he get put in jail? and for how long??? and can i get a restraining order agianst him?

You know how a childhood summer should be- get up at 11, roam free until dinnertime, ride your bike, go on vacation. But my family was different. We woke up at 9, stayed inside until almost noon, came in every hour to "Check in", and came in for dinnertime at 6. I couldn't go into the frontyard until I was seven, and couldn't even cross my (residential) street until I was almost ten. Still, at 14, I can't go into ANYBODY'S house unless I go through a 1/2 hour begging session, can't go onto the next street over, or go to the park 2 blocks away to hang out with my friends. My family has been on one vacation, not even out of state vacation at that. The only time we went out of state is to North Carolina to visit my grandparents, and now they live in St. Louis with me. STL County, by the way, which is low on crime. Also, my dad is always angry at the rest of the family. Did I have a bad childhood, and is it too late to make up for lost time?
