My son (13) has recently taken a liking to Ashlee Simpson.He has some magazines with her in it and some photos he has printed off the computer...the are not nude but they are a little provacative showing cleavege.My question is does he have these because he is a fan...or is he doing more?Is she considered a sex symbol to boys his age?

He sounds like a normal 13 year old who likes girls. It may be more than being a fan but there is nothing wrong here. He is proceeding forward like a normal male who is in puberty. Just leave him alone about it. Unless he is looking at hard core porn you have nothing here you need to be concerned about.

Ofcourse he is using these pictures as masturbation material, but that is normal. It would be abnormal if he showed no interest in sex at his age. Be happy that your son is developing a healthy sexual appetite. He could be whacking off to pictures of farm animals.

What do you mean "doing more"? masturbating? Yes, that's most probably what he's doing.
I'm sorry to dissapoint you but boys are not "fan" of gorgeous girls. They just find them extremely attractive and they get kinda obsessive because they want to see every side of her, in pictures I mean. So they try to find every picture that there is and keep it.
I regret to inform you he doesn't just stare at the pictures... I mean, he's 13. And you said so yourself, the pictures are provocative...

All kids around that age have a "sex mode" its a part of life...
jsut make sure he doesnt do too much...
