I just got done watching the movie "The Long Way Home" about a family where the father has just moved back in after leaving for molesting his daughter. He had gone through therapy and such.

My question is this: If your spouse molested one of your children and was caught, would you allow him or her to return home after he or she had completed treatment/jail/etc.? I'm just curious what other people think about the situation put forth in this movie. Anyone know a family who took back the molester?

Hell no. I'm living this situation now, my Mom has taken my step father back, even married him after all this came out. The child grows up with a lot of resentment and almost hate towards the parent.

I don't think I would be able to allow a molester back. I would try to protect my children and myself. I would change address so that we wouldn't find us.

Hell would freeze over first before I allowed a molestor anywhere around my children. Last I heard, hell wasn't expecting any snow storms any time soon.

No I would not take the chance that he would hurt my child again...
It's my duty to protect her, even against her father if I have to
