It hurts my feelings when I get a card. Am I being oversensitive? We all get along very well.

Maybe they don't know what to do or what you want. It might be easier for them to relate to a guy. Give them a little hint in a humorous way. I bet they don't realize it hurts your feelings.

I have a really hard time relating to your question, since my two son's (27 and 43) never even send me a card or acknowledge Mother's Day (or Father's Day) in any way. They have learned their Fathers' way of simply ignoring holidays completely.

If you "get along very well", then it should be easy for you to simply discuss your feelings with them. They are probably completely in the dark about it.

To avoid hurt feelings next year (for you or them) simply come right out and say, "you know what would be great for mother's day/my birthday?" That way, it will just seem like you just thought of it for the first time. They just may not know what to get you.

You need to speak up or your husband should tell them. That's just not fair.
