I’ve recently found out that my little sister & brother found pot in my mom’s bathroom that belongs to her boyfriend, who stays with them on weekends. He confessed to them that he does pot occasionally, and my mom denied she knew about it (after dating him a year), but is still seeing him even though it has made her children uncomfortable. Aside from my mom’s heavy drinking and her lack to support these kids as well as she should, what I am now worried about is her boyfriend getting high and doing something that would put them at risk. I assume someone who occasionally does pot can last a weekend without it? So, I do not consider him an “occasional” pot head.

She shares joint custody with their dad, but he only gets every other weekend, every Wednesday and some holidays.

How difficult would it be to for their dad to get primary custody of them and only give my mom monitored visitations?? Would child services need to be involved??

When my boyfriend/father of three of my children and I were seperated he father another child. Well he wants me to become friends with her. I personally hate her. I also think that there is still something going on between them. He has also told me that he isn't sure that he still wants this between us. Should I try to be her friend?

She has periods and wears a bra like any girl her age, but is a bit childish. The good thing is she's a sweetheart, has never done anything bad, just small mistakes, treats me, my husband nad her lil bro with love, gets good grades, plays sports. But she's ingenuous, naive, I'm afraid she may be hurt by bad people. She acts like a sweet girl, likes to help people, laughs a lot, is innocent. Somedays ago we were in a shopping center and she get away from to look at some colthes. Then, she suddenly ran to me, gave me a big hug and said My mom! As a mom, of course I love such things, and I hugged her too.
But I'm not sure if this is a normal behavior for a 13 yo girl. She still see boys just as friends and likes to go out with me and her dad. Well, at least she's a very happy girl.
Should I be worried?

I'm 45 and realise that my mother has never given me credit. I was always a "good child" - never gave my parents any problems. Although I'm sure she love(d) me, I've not had many reasons to FEEL it. I got married recently & I wish I hadn't but because nothing was forthcoming, I asked her how she thought I looked. I felt I looked the best I'd ever looked in my life - but all she said was "OK". Then she saw my brother behind me & it was all over to him. It's always appeared to me - he's the blatant favourite. I've worked hard all my life & have done well for myself but never once had a pat on the back. When I got my degree, she put a congratulations notice in the paper, but I was told it was to rub my ex mother-in-laws face in it! After my daughter was born, I felt I didn't need her approval anymore - but I asked her opinion at my wedding. I feel so sad at times it's overwhelming. I ADORE my daughter & tell her every day how wonderful she is. Any ideas?

I have a six year and his father is in jail. He has been in jail since he was 4 and will be in jail until he is 17. I don't want him to be mad at me when he get older for not telling him. He has a stepfather and he has been in his life since he was 2. I was just wondering when is a good time to tell him. He does talk to his real father every once in awhile. Should I let him tell him or should I tell him?

For mother's day my brother and I are kind of making like a family tree slideshow. We are going to have wedding pictures of our grandparents and then have the wedding picture of our parents. Then we are going to have pictures of us growing up. I just don't know what song to pick. If you know any good songs that will go with the slideshow please post them! Thanks for the help!

Once i have siblings, my parents became very biased in that they love the younger ones more and expect you to help look after them. When my younger brother and sister were born, i had to give up learning piano because there was not enough money. Whenever things went wrong or happened to the two young ones, my parents will immediately point finger at me and question me. Hello... Why can't parents just have one child and shower him/her with 100% love???

I am 25 years old and moved back into my parents house 5 months ago because I wanted to go to Graduate school without having to work. The problem is, I am not getting along with my Dad very well (we have our good days and bad). When I was a teenager we would fight once in a while. But he is old and grumpy (he’s 74) and often scolds me over the smallest things. Yesterday I got into a heated argument with him over something quite silly, and now I am considering moving out since I am an adult. My question is, should I just move out or should I stay put and try andwork things out with him? I get along fine with my mother, but my dad is another story. Things are different now because I am an adult and moving out is an option (though graduate school will have to be put on hold). . Any suggestions?

My son recently moved in with his girlfriend. They are both 18 years old. My son said he isnt happy there but feels like he needs to be there to protect his girl friend from her brother. She told my son that her brother has beed rapeing her for a while now and she is afraid to tell her mother. She also said that he has also raped her sister. I dont know if she is lieing just to keep him there with her or if she is telling the truth. The brother is married and has a little boy age 2 and he has a baby girl on the way. We told our son that if someone dostnt say anything that he is going to do the same thing to his own daughter. I am worried for my son and I have told him to come home and we will find a way to help the family but he wont. His girlfriends mother has confronted his girlfriend before asking her if her brother has dont anything to her and she told her mother NO that he has never hurt her. Thats why I think she is lieing, either that of she is afraid to tell her mother.

My family and friends are always telling me I don't eat enough, I'm too thin, I need to eat, etc. I am recovering from anorexia but for the most part it is under control. Technically I'm at a healthy weight (5'4, 105) for my frame, and I'm sick of people telling me I need to put on weight. I also know they talk about it amongst themselves, and my husband says our friends ask him if I'm "alright." How would you handle this? It's really getting annoying.

left she would listen to that song "Goodnight Sweetheart" by David Kearsh and cry. This is the same woman that leaves with another man without telling anyone and calls a few days later to tell us she left and to tell my father that he could have the house and the kids and everything. That is a little messed up to me. Don't you think that if it hurt her that bad, she never would have left?
