My sister in law was very good with me before my marriage but has taken a complete U-Turn since then. She is very sweet to my husband and equally bithcy with me. What should i do to make her feel equally bad? She acts very well with me infornt of others but when we are alone shes a *****.

Everytime i visit my inlaws i feel like a complete idiot sitting there with nothing to say. They are nice enough but after the initial greetings (how are you? etc etc) i can't find anything to talk about and my fiance does the rest of the talking while i sit there feeling stupid. I hate feeling like a snob cause i really like his family but i am terrible with conversation. please help me as my fiance is beginning to think that i don't like them.

My son is 25 and my daughter is 22. They have lived with their grandmother for several years. My son has a 6 mo. old baby he cares for by himself and has a good job with the School District. My daughter goes to school full time and works a little more than a part time job as a waitress. She loves animals and has 2 small full breed dogs that have been inside the entire time. They are well behaved and cared for. My son just bought a new house in which his grandmother put down approx. $ 30,000 on a $ 400,000 house, but in my sons name. The dispute is he won't allow any dogs to be in the new house, which I can understand , but nights have been down in the 20's for which the small dogs wouldn't survive. She won't get rid of her dogs (which I also understand), but something has to give. I suggested to put down plastic and then put new carpet over that to protect the original carpet, and leave them confined to the bedroom which they were before. Anybody have some other suggestions ?

My grandma has been dead since 94 or 96 and since then what she did to my mom, has come out. My father was the abusive type, mentally, verbal, and physical. Once when he smacked my brother and called him a very bad name, who was from my mother's previous marriage. My mom decided to kick my dad out of the house. I was still at a young age at this time. At this time we lived with my grandmother on my mom's side and had nowhere else to go. My grandma told her own daughter to go and beg for him to come back or she would throw her out of the house. Meaning that she would take my brother and I away from our mom. My grandma many times tried to take me away from my mom. Even though my mom was a very good mom and did nothing to deserve her children being taken away. So with that option, my mom went and asked my dad to come back home. Things didn't stop and we had to endure more abuse from my father.

Mine is that I didnt get to spend enough time with my dad or tell hım how much I love him. I mean I always took it for granted that he knew that but I never actually told him that I loved him. Plus I figured he would always be there, since I was still a teen. I guess I just wasnt ready when he was killed 11 years ago at his shop by thieves who stole a copier, thats what his life was worth to them. My mom is still around but again I dont get much time to spend with her since my persuit for education has sent me to another country. But I am hopeful that things will turn out for the better in the end.

Is it ok to fall in love with someone online? I met Hannah on myspace and have been talking for a long time. We both love each other. Is that ok. I mean she lives in KY, and i live in LA. I am going to a brand to high school that is being built right now, next school year. I have played volleyball for 2 years but this year (my freshman year) i did not try out because i did not want to much stress that i didnot need! If i practice all summer and join camps could i make it??? When I go by my aunt's house (which is a lot) sometimes she will hit me or shove me against a wall or something. I tried telling my mom but she did not believe me and told my aunt. My aunt then just gets mad and then hits me even more. She doesn't do it a lot......but im just wondering. I am beginning to become afraid of her and I have to go over there because my mom works for long hours and I can not stay home by myself for that long of time. I am 13 years old.

Well my mom and her sister got into a huge huge fight and have not spoken to each other in a year. Recently my aunt emailed me asking if me and my sisters can get together sometime to catch up. I told her I am pretty busy with college and work but I'd let her know when I could. I wasn't sure what to do, because I'd feel akward with just my aunt and my sisters because I am so used to our family being together and stuff for holidays but people told me I should see her everything. I told my mom about it and she seemed pretty hacked off. She's like If you cared about me you wouldn't go see her. I'm like Mom that's stupid she is my aunt and I'd like to see her besides this is between you and her and I am NOT getting involved she's like yeah right I am sure you'll go and talk behind my back with her. I am like No! I'm like I think you should know about it, it would be wrong to not tell you. Shes like nobody cares about me. I am like that is not true she's like yes it is nobody shows me it if you cared about your mother you wouldn't want anything to do with her. I think that's really bogus of my mom to be like that. I like my aunt and I'd like to see her I shouldn't have to never see her again my aunt did not do anything to me so why should I hold it against her. What do you all think??

My father has a noncurable disease called M.S. It can make him extremely depressed from time to time and then my mom and him both get sad. It seems like they're too busy caring for each other to care for me. I know it sounds selfish, but that's what I think. I used to be able to talk with my sister about this stuff, but now she's at college across the country. I guess I'm just feeling lonely and like no one is looking out for me. Sure I have friends, but my best friend and I never talk about this stuff and I only really have one friend who will listen to me when I talk about this stuff, but I feel guilty how I'm taking up all her time. I just really need someone my age who I can talk to, and have them talk to me. What should I do? What's going on?

of crisis?I'm not talking about me here.My sister has been married to an amazing guy for 7 years now and they have a 5 year old son together.They've had to deal with a lot of tragedy and whenever something happens his mother shows up trying to take over and confort him.Recently he was diagnosed with testicular cancer and his mother just bitches and bitches about how uncaring,selfish and self-involved my sister is when she's done all she could to help including attenting every appointment and taking time off work.What is the mother's problem?What can my sister do to make this better is her eyes?

I really dislike my sister's boyfriend because he is so negative. Tonight at dinner he went on and on about things he hates. He also gets defensive and rude. Also, a couple of weeks ago, he told me that I looked older than my older sister! Plus, my sister always pays for dinner when we're out. He sucks!

My mother took care my dying mother in law. With in days of her passing she was way to cozy with my husbands stepfather. Come to find out she replaced him on the will and never told us till he passed 1 year later. Honest, we used to be a very close family and now it is all over. My husbands stepfather bad mouthed me terrible and she never mentioned any of this to us. In fact she said she believed him when push came to shove. She said this was planned for about 10 months before his death. What happened?! Forever Hurt.

I am 19 living with my parents and working and going to full time college...and i got in a BAD fight with both of them..and they threatend to cut off my health insurance, car insurance, and kick me out of the house. I am barely making the payments on college, and i cannot be on my own right now......this is not the first time they tried to cut the insurance or kick me out...Im not lazy i work my *** off to payfor college and my car and they expect so much more.. i kind of feel suicidal...not that im going to do it, just im very sad and angry.
