My condolances.

Where there is a will - there are relatives.

They all want a piece of anything that seems to them to be available wealth where they may have a claim.

Did your husband have a will leaving anything to them?

Would you have any claim to whatever your husband's possible inheritance if any from his family wealth might be ?

What is the law in your place of residence?

In the place where you were married?

Is there a marriage contract? Children to support?

If there is insurance it usually just goes direct to the beneficiary and no other person or company has rights to the proceeds.

Sign nothing, say nothing without trusted legal advice. Get your own lawyer, not one suggested by others.

Are you able to move far away? Think about a complete change of life?

It might help get your new beginning started to be in a different place.

Of course if it is a really serious amount of money, I might be persuaded to come to your rescue.

I think you meant sneaky and greedy. What kind of information do you need? If it's a matter of his will, go see an attorney.
