(Im pretty strong/in good shape for a girl because i have been taking strength training class for the past 4 months and will be taking it untill june!)

You got some good replies though here is a few more tips. Coaches love a player who devotes themselves during the summer months to their sports. Strength training is a great way to build your volleyball skills THOUGH make sure you do a ton of jumping drills. Volleyball is about moving and jumping in short sprints. Google "jumping drills for volleyball players" this might help you find some ways to get your verticle up! Next, if you go to a small school chances are if you practice you will make the team no problem. A big school will be harder to gain a position most bigger schools have girls totally devoted to volleyball and have been playing in US volleyball and leagues during the offseason since 6th grade. Just go into it with a positive attitude and dont get down on yourself when you make a mistake it is going to happen! good luck...

If you go to a skills camp you will definitely have a better edge than if you did not go. I would suggest going to the camp and pratice as hard as you can. The camp will give you an edge up on all the other players increasing your odds of making the team. I bet you will be able to make the team if you do this. I would say go for it!

I'm sure it will improve your ability to play, but ultimately it comes down to how well you stack up against the competition. But the things you're doing will absolutely help you and are the best way to making the team!

just do your best and if you dont make it there is always next year ... did you know that there are famous atheletes that didnt make it on high school teams ... so dont be down about it if you dont ..... if you practice hard enough you can do much better than high school games maybe become a pro

I know one way you absolutely won't make it...by not trying out. Your odds increase dramatically by showing up and working as hard as you can.
