I have tried hanging out with her, We went to the Seahawks-Cowboys game, she wanted to see the Cowboys win, she had a little hat and jacket, she started crying when they lost. I wanted the Seahawks. I love having her around but I don't relate to her at all. one is age, second she's a girl, and finally she doen't have the same mom. I am told she looks like me, but my step mom is mostly white, so I don't see it since she has blonde hair, green eyes. She doesn't know Portuguese as much, she speaks english clearly without an accent. I have my friend living in my house who's a girl and my girlfriend, and they always play with her... She wants to play with me all the time, but I don't.. actually I can't. See doesn't understand that Im busy. How do you explain to her that she can't bug me, and how can we connect as siblings... ?

I feel stupid asking this.

I am a 32 year old mother of an 18 year old son! I was raped at a young age and got pregnant and decided to place my son in an open adoption home! I met the parent and all is great! My problem my son is now 18 so I contacted him and we have been txt messaging each other for 3 days now and talked on the phone once 3 way with his girlfriend! Now the problem has started with me today with me just having some high emotions of insecurity and when my son didn't txt message me back right away I took it the wrong way and would say stupid things like what you don't want to talk to me or i won't txt message no more and will respond when you feel your ready to talk! Now my confusion with myself is I don't know if I am scared of rejection and him just cutting me off cause thats how I feel when he doesn't respond right away or is it the fact that I just never exspected all to go so well between him and I and I am waiting for the bad! i have two sisters who i live with, recently they started dating, and now they are bringing over their boyfriends all the time, staying over late, laughing, watching tv until really late, it is making my life a living hell, i am in college full time, i need to go to bed early so i can wake up early, cant go to sleep, cant study, they are always around, i need my space !! anyway things have resorted to me moving out of the house to live near campus.
to make things further complicated, this "sisters bringing over their boyfriends ordeal" is bringing relationship issues with me and my very conservative muslim boyfriend. so now me and the sisters are not talking...i'm just waiting until i move the hell out and away from them. i have spoken to both of them about my issues with this matter numerous times, nothing seems to work, just an awful situation to be in, any suggestions?? anyone?

Ok, this is not one of thoughs reverse psychology questions... Once againe my best friend (*Brook) called me in tears. her mother has yelled (cursed and threatened) her sister (*Lidia) and her again. She also picked Lidia up by the colar of her shirt and some what choked her. i know for a fact that her mother beat Brook on the back to a point where the father had to pull her off of Brook, (i saw the bruises). Another thing that happened was that when Lysia got too scared and went to hide in the only room where the door locked, the mom knocked down the door. Their dad is a pushover twords the mother's side. We emailed the shcool guidence councelor... was this a bad idea? What are the other options when talking does not help? I talked to my parents about this and they are clueless, but they did say that if anything went wrong they would let ther stay over at our house for a period of time. How can she deal with this and how can I help?

Ice storm hit springfield on friday. Ice is two inches on branches. Lost power on friday evening, won't have power till middle or end of the week. I have a heat solution, but I really need an inexpensive power source. Possibly a power inverter for my truck so I can use it like a generator or something. I have a three year old and a wife and both are sick. I need some help. Any clever people out there or (fingers crossed) generous individuals with a spare generator for donation? Have you ever felt that you didnt belong in your family because your the one always getting yelled at and you basically do everything around the house (like cleaning) and the one time that you dont do it, you get yelled at, when your sibling mine happening to be 5 years younger than me and 13 that doesnt do a thing but sit on the laptop. do you ever feel like you just dont belong cause your not as perfect, and you dont get as good of grades as your sibling. god i hate this

My father in law comes to stay and visit regularly through the year. He is constantly growling at our kids aged 2,4 & 6 and takes over when we are trying to discipline them, completely over ruling us. My husband ad I hate it but he has always been scared of his father so won't stand up to him. If I say something I will be the worst daugter in law in the world and everyone will hear about it. He a has a 'my way or the highway' mentality and is impossible to reason with.

My father was an “absent father", he was always working to support my mother & myself.When he was present he was controlling & would mentally, and verbally abuse my mother & I. He would call my mother stupid or yell whenever he spoke. Years ago was prescribed Cerepax medication for sleep /depression, but flushed it down the toilet saying that it made him crazy. He always disciplined me but that is all .Today he listens to what others say but doesn’t have many friends, still works a lot at 62, still prejudice, if people look old or not, still looses his temper if he doesn’t like what someone says & always thinks he is right. He doesn't believe in saying sorry & is proud of it .He's very negative but likes to lecture myself & others about being positive. Is he suffering from depression? I'm a 27 yr old teacher still at home. I’m not ungrateful for his generosity & want us to get along; he is a lot better than he used to be and we talk about general things.

How do you deal with a father that is so grumpy and hateful to EVERYONE? He hates everyone and everything,, just a hateful person. He is 60 and is just so full of hate. I have tried talking to him and suggested counceling and i may as well had saved my breath...any suggestions?

My sister is 28,she has 3 children.She is collecting disability&she has a live-in boyfriend who can work but,doesn't.Her income is only $600 month.Her oldest son,also collected disability but, she signs the check over to his dad.This is half of her income given to another male bum.She is currently in the eviction process of her apartment.She made a decision about 2 months ago against my advice,not to pay her rent because she said the landlord didn't fix anything.She was going to save money for a new apartment.I knew she couldn't save but, she assured me she had $1500 saved.Today,she admitted to me she has no money.I had to buy them formula,food and diapers.She had not made the efforts to sign up for food stamps,etc.She will be given 3 dys notice to get out.We have 3 xtra bdrms for her or give her $ to get a new apartment.But,we've been in this situation before and since August 2005 have spent $16K bailing her out.Do I help?or does she go to a shelter til she is ok on her own. Help!

my aunt lives with me and my mom... because her house burned down... and ever since i turned like 9 shes hated me shes lived here for like 10 years now.... im 13 now too....... me and her son had chores we would do but ever since i turned 9 she has dumped all of the chores on me..... her son does drugs and everything like that... and she treats him like an angel.... and she treats me like trash.... my mom thinks she does it because i get straight A's and i do a lot better i everything than him... and hes 16... so more les she thinks my aunts jealous...... do u think my mom is right or y do u think she does this????

I try talking with him about certain things and he has his theory on everthing and dismisses all that I am trying to convey to him. The other night he gave a cop a bunch of lip and almost got himself arrested. I know 17 is a tough age, but I'm afraid this attitude will get him into some major trouble or he will start losing friends. What can we do to change the attitude?

The females in the family decided to take our new sister-in-law out for a nice dinner.(its a 2nd marrige for both parties so we did this to, welcome her into the fam). I really don't like the food at the restaurant,so I ordered very little.My sister knew this ahead of time too). We were each supposed to pay our own way,and then split the brides bill between us. All was well,til the end when my sister said that everyone owed $24 for the bill.There were about 10 of us. It ticked me off so I quietly,said "no" and paid my portion,plus part of my sister in law. Also,I have very limited funds at the moment and my sis knew this too.Was I wrong in this situation? ps I also gave enough for a tip.

I'm 15, young I know. My brother is 17, we used to best friends, i could tell him anything and he was the only person i ever felt comfotable around. He dropped out of school last year and started hanging out with some idiot friends, and got into alot of bad sh*t. People at my school know more about my brother than I do. I have tried calling him, he doesn't answer my calls, he moved out and I have no idea where he is neither does my mom. I go and visit him in work and he's a jerk to me. I love him so much and I don't know why he doesn't understand that. Does he even care about me anymore, I mean I didn't even do anything for him not to? I've been so sad about it

my brother lost 2 diffferent phones and i retrieved the first one and the guy who stole the other one gave it back. now we have 3 phones and 4 ppl to split them with. my mom automatically keeps one. what should we do about the other 2? my brother isn't exactly a good kid. he never does any kind of cleaning and never gets good grades. when we tell him to pick something of his up he responds with 'why don't u do it?'. my mom says my bro should get one and my sis and i share the other. when my bro and sis shared the phone he never let her use it. i'd rather my mom cancel them or my mom to keep one of the new one's my brother get the old scratched one that has no camera my sis get the other new one and i get nothing at all cuz frankly, i don't tghink he deserves a new camera phone.my mom blames all of this on me because i have the 2 new phones and won't give them to any one. she has hit me multiple times and yanked my hair. she send a cop to talk to us, but he didn't know about our fight.

if you/your twins fight, is it verbal,physical,or both? When I step in to stop them, they pause long enough for me to think it's cooled then one or the other will say something,then the other.. back and forth.Both are headstrong and don't know when to shutup so it just keeps going. My little sister who's 12 ALWAYS gets in my closet, draws, and under my bed. She listens to my phone conversations 24/7!!!
