My mother in law and I are like best friends. Is this rare?

No, my first missus was like a daughter to my mum and even when we parted, they kept in touch regularly, so, even though it's not common it also isn't rare. Good luck to you!

I don't think so. I used to get along well with my mother-in-law all the time. We had a lot of fun together, She was a second mother to me. She even took my side, at least once, when my wife and I got into it. So, no, I don't think it's rare. I only know my experiences. Though my son-in-law and I get along fine, too and my parents got along with each other's parents. As far as I could tell.

No, not that rare. At least you're lucky enough to have a mother in law - it doesn't seem like I'll ever get married because girls are so mean to me.

It is rare... but it's a good thing. I'm on good terms with my future mother in law too, but sometimes she really does my head in.

Why does that mean something is wrong with you? I get on better with my mother in law then my own mother.

Yeah, it's sort of rare. I haven't really heard of in laws being happy with each other's company.
But there is NOTHING wrong with you. You should be happy that you are not fighting with her and that you two are able to be on the same ground with each other. :)

There's nothing wrong with you at all. It's good to have a good relationship with your mother in law. I have a good one with mine and I would rather have a good one then a bad one. Consider yourself lucky lol :)

i think the same myself, me and the mother in law get on very well, share secrets and even have drinks together, i think this is great to hear someone else feels the same, life is too short not to get on x
