You should not hate him. He obviously has problems, and he's well aware that he has hurt the people he loved. You should try to move past all that and accept you dad's apology. Forgiveness is the first step to healing. In life, there are obstacles that we all have to face but they help us to appreciate what we have. Why is your dad threatening you mom? It's much easier from us to help you if you provide more details. Is it because he wants money for more drugs, or is it that he desperately wants your mom's forgiveness and love? There's always hope; don't forget that. Talk to a counselor.

Don't know what he did to your mom or how he's threatening you, but if you are worried about abuse in your home, talk with your guidance counselor at school. The reason your dad takes drugs is because he is hiding from certain feelings he doesn't want to feel, so he covers them up with a "buzz." That's sad. He's not happy with his life. Even sadder that he's taking it out on the people who try to love him. He needs help, your mom needs help, and so do you. You can't make your parents get help, but you can sure get help for yourself. Talk to your guidance counselor or another adult you can trust for some guidance.

No, I don't think you should HATE him, but you do have every right to feel anger towards him. After all, he is your father. Despite all his mistakes, deep down he really loves you, but he just has NO CLUE of handling the situation properly. Check him into a rehab clinic, seriously.

No Hun.....You should not hate him. Hate has a weird way of turning in on itself. You will hurt yourself more than you will hurt him.
I would pity him,though. And I would also pray for him.

no i think doing drugs is like drinking its a sickness and your dad needs medical help and also understanding both you and your mom could help him
