Family - January 2007

I know several people who are married or have been together for a while and haven't got kids or have no plans to. Is this down to health or financial problems or something deeper? Surely the point of life is to reproduce so.....? ???????

My half sister isn't that close to me. She told me last year that she was pregnant and I was very excited for her. 10 months later I get a blank card with the baby's picture on it, no message, no phone call. I don't seem to mean much even though I try to make every effort. I suppose it's because I had her father as I grew up and she didn't? I wish I could be friendly with her. Is this common with half siblings? Any suggestions to connect with her?

I'm visiting my Grandmother in the hospital today and I don't know what the talk about. She is sick, so there is a low chance of starting up a conversation with her. She has brain problems, not autistic or downsindrome. She often yells at the nurses at the hospital. But they are really nice! What should I say?

And you can't remove yourself from the situation due to current circumstances beyond your control, otherwise you would have already done so. Yet said person drives you to constantly have malicious thoughts that you would never have otherwise. And everyone you talk to about the situation tries to convince you that you are making the whole thing up simply to get attention because they don't believe this person could possibly be capable of such.

My wife and I have two children. The younger one is a boy of 7. It seems as though everytime we get him involved in something or get him something my sister has to do the same thing for my nephew who is 6. We got our children into martial arts, she did. We bought our son a gameboy, she did. We got our son a dirtbike, she did. This last one after chastising me on the dangers, etc. of a kid riding, and saying she wouldn't let hers. Two weeks later she "changed her mind" and had me looking for one for my nephew. We decided to do our son's room in moto-x theme now our nephew is going to have his done that way. There is more but I only have so much space. My wife and I understand that it isn't our nephews fault. To make matters worse they moved right around the corner from us so we can't even get away from them. Generally. I ain't shy about letting people know when they are ticking me off but, She IS my sister and she lost a child about 8 years back. Any suggestions?

i cant stand my parents anymore.....i definetly cant stand my siblings, everything they say and do gets on my nerves! i dont feel like im happy or comfortable living with them...its a pain to wake up in the morning knowing that nothing new is going to happen, and if something does happen it isnt worth waking up for. I dont even want to study anymore.....this is my third year of college and theres definetly alot of work that im suppose to do. Its not that i dont understand my lessons because i do, its just that ive lost interest all of a sudden. nothing seems worth anything at all.....im sooooo bored i cant stand it

what would u do if one of ur so called friends was soooo drunk one night and attacked you by pulling your hair and squeezing your boobs and punching your arm and not letting you go, then while holding your head to the floor calling you every rude and crude name in the book. be adviced that i didn't do anything to this person and when i was finally let go i left and haven't spoken to her in over 4 months cause she hasn't said she was sorry, her excuse for not saying sorry is that she doesn't remember, would u forgive her, everyone else knows what she did so its not like i'm making it up there was witnesses and she still claims she doesn't remember so there is no need to apoligise to the whole thing. what would you do?

I HAVE THREE KIDS OF MY OWN. THE GUY IM WITH IS NOT THE DAD BUT HE LOVES THEM JUST THE SAME. HE WORKS I STAY AT HOME AND DO THE RAISING OF 5 CHILDERN AND 3 ADLUTS. WE LIVE WITH MY MOTHER FOR NOW BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO CHANGE SCHOOLS ON THEM IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. WELL TO MAKE A LONG STORY SHORT MY SISTER IN 20 SHE HAS 2 BOYS 1 IS 2 1 IS 6MONTHS HE HAS SCOLIOSIS. SHE HAS LOST HER WAY AND IS TRYING TO FIND IT AND IS LIVING IN HER CAR. SO WE TOOK ON THE BOYS SO SHE WOULD GET HER SELF TOGETHER. EVERY ONE SAYS THAT I SHOULD MAKER HER TAKE CARE OF THEM. BUT THEY DON'T SEE WHY IM DOING THIS.
