i might know your father, in fact i know several fathers who are looking for their daughters. remember you were only 6 years old,. so you thought as a 6 year old, what if he did not run away, but was beaten up by your mothers new boyfriend, what if he was murdered, what if your mom changed her address and he cannot find you but is looking for you, too. what if he is in jail cause he was fausely accused by your mom of an act or deed or someone else...there is to many IF's and that means there is something wrong with the fact he is not around to know you.... okay check your birth certificate see if you have a fathers name and date of birth and age for your father written in it, and write it here or send it to me and i will look to see if i can find him in a data bank that i have access too. also since so many people share the same name... what city did he lived with you and your mom,, try to see the distrct court house in that city for some kind of record on him and it is free to view it.. then look to see in the county court house to see if he has been arrested and get a lead on him, and then try to find out what his sister or brothers name is, while you might not find him, you might find them, and they will definitely know where your father is.. and when you find him, try not to think of child support.. it only makes you be like your are materlisitic.. think of learning from him and sharing with him stories of you...you might find that he has changed and is a better man now...... bankone1111@yahoo.com

Few points:

Just understanding your father could help you answer many of your questions and could also help you find him.

If his parents (your paternal grandparents, I mean) are alive, talk to them about -
+ what kind of boy was he as he was growing up
+ his schools (elementary, middle, high, college, etc.)
+ his female friends
+ his male friends

If you manage to locate any of his high school friends, ask them about your father's life as a young man.

If your mother cannot find his whereabouts, you may have to find him yourself (if you are old enough).

It is difficult to find something or someone when you are emotional. So, put on a detective's hat and go about it in a cool and methodical manner.

Prepare a check list and to that check list add possible search options offered by friends, family, police, or any professional who deals with finding people.

Take your time. Do little bit of search everyday.

Don't let this search affect your life too much. Live your life as normally as you can. When you have kids, your father might come out of his hiding place to see them.

Good Luck!

Your State has ways and means to find a Family Member. They should be able to help. Sorry that I don't know which one. Check with the Head of one of the Departments. You'll get there. And GOD will surely Bless you in your Life. Trust HIM!

Contact me. Click my picture and send me an email with all the info you have about your dad. I will try to help you locating him.

Since it would be a "violation" of Yahoo terms and conditions to tell you on Yahoo Answers who I work for, let's communicate via e-mail.

Incredibly, Yahoo considers that helping people for free and telling them about a non profit organization is a "violation" of the terms and conditions. But they allow hate messages and pornographic content. Their conception of right and wrong is quite messed up.
