a diaper is an american word for nappy, yes you can get them in adult size, but as i used to work in a residential home for the elderly,i used to hate it when colleagues called them nappies,if i was changing an incontinent resident i would use the word "pad",it must be embarrassing/degrading enough for an elderly person,i always tried to let them keep their dignity, telling them they've got to wear a nappy isn't going to do that, whether or not they.ve got alzheimers, dementia etc.so for a baby its a nappy/diaper for an elderly/incontinent person its a pad.oh and by the way i'm only 26 so i'm not old fashioned!

They both mean the same thing - Diaper is an American word, while nappy is English.
I don't know if they make adult nappys in England, since I've never been there, but in America adult diapers are sold under the brand name Depend.

Diaper is the American term, Nappy is the term used in the UK and Ireland, but they are referring to the exact same product.

And yes, they do have adult sized diapers/nappies. In America, the most common brand of adult diapers is Depends - you can buy them in any pharmacy.

A diaper is what we call it in America. They call it a nappy in England. I suppose if you are in England and you need one for an
adult, it would be called a nappy, or maybe not

Its the same thing. Just those Americans messing about with our beautiful language again! Probably can buy for adults but unless its for health reasons why would you want to? Very strange
