The females in the family decided to take our new sister-in-law out for a nice dinner.(its a 2nd marrige for both parties so we did this to, welcome her into the fam). I really don't like the food at the restaurant,so I ordered very little. My sister knew this ahead of time too). We were each supposed to pay our own way,and then split the brides bill between us. All was well, til the end when my sister said that everyone owed $24 for the bill. There were about 10 of us. It ticked me off so I quietly, said "no" and paid my portion, plus part of my sister in law. Also,I have very limited funds at the moment and my sis knew this too.Was I wrong in this situation? ps I also gave enough for a tip.

Annoyed, yes, but it sounds like you stood up for yourself so that's good. Not worth mulling over though unless your sis can't let it go. If your sis can't let it go then you just need to defend yourself once. If she still continues then tell her that you will have to agree to disagree and that the situation isn't worth diminishing your guys' relationship and you'd like for her to let it go because you are right now. You did your fair share and I think that's ..... well.....fair!Hope it works out!
