I am such a naive person. I found these pics of my sister-in-law doing drugs while she was pregnant with my nephew, and we need to use these in court, because she has lost custody of the children, and they now live with us....(long story, don't ask.) What is she smoking? What kind of pipe is this? Thank you!!!!

That is a bong and they are smoking pot. (Marijuana)
You make it sound like there is more than one picture...but there is only one.
Does it look like she is resting the bong on her largish belly? Or is just me?

If I was a preggo woman, I would never smoke or do drugs. However, I would probably have the occasional drink. Most doctors today say there's very little harm in alcohol in moderation even while pregnant. EDIT: Because the risk is negligible. Why would you take the risk of driving a car because you could get into an accident? Why would you take the risk of crossing the street because you could get hit by a bus? Pregnancy paranoia causes more harm than good, from women that choose to do hardly any physical activity for worries of "falling" or avoiding certain healthy foods because of unfounded assumptions that they may be harmful for the baby. Things like FAS are caused by excessive drinking and alcoholism. We've recently learned that drinking things like red wine is actually beneficial to the circulatory system. I see nothing wrong with women having an occasional drink when they're pregnant, or when they're breastfeeding. The times, the literature, and the research have changed. It's time for us to change with them. ;) belle: Class C drugs during pregnancy are allowed because there are no adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks. In cases like anti-depressants, researchers and doctors have found that the detriment of NOT taking the drug (stress, hormone imbalance, etc) can be potentially MORE damaging to the unborn baby than the possible effects of the drug on the baby itself. Steve: You're right. There really is no way to know 100% if even a small amount of alcohol could affect an unborn baby. I guess I just put my faith in the human body to protect them from harm by filtering out most of the junk we put into our bodies anyway (McDonalds, pesticides, growth hormones in meat, etc). Those look like what they call a bong. From my understanding, it can be used with pot or meth. Most likely pot. Sorry to hear about this. I hope that the children are ok. I wish you the best of luck.

How are you going to prove she was pregnant when this was taken? or is just doing drugs enough to get your kids taken away? I don't condone it but I know lots of people who smoked pot while pregnant.....crazy people!

Looks like she's smoking weed, but cant be sure. They're called bongs. I know a girl who smoked weed and did cocaine when she was pregnant and she has 3 disabled kids and 3 miscarriages. DUH!
