I know folks that have had children (biological ones) in their 40s -- so that is not out of the question.

No, not if you are healthy. You are still young and there is no reason you can't have a family. My sister started her family at 38 and her husband was 51. They have a great family and have enjoyed every minute of having the kids. Haven't you heard that 40 is the new 30? LOL - Good luck to you and I hope your dream comes true.

hi there ......you both must love each other and if all bits ae working and you both get all the check ups done as and when needed what harm are you doing ,there are young girls having kids and to be honest and i do not mean to sound rude but some are struggling to cope ,as you get older you have more patience to cope with a baby and you have done all the mad things that you want to do ,then no it is not to late the only time it gets to late is when the bits do not work any more ,and even then there are ways of starting a family ,good luck and take care of each other XX

No, its not too late! I got married for the 2nd time when I was 45 and if we could have gotten pregnant, we would have! That's the saddest thing for us, because I love my husband so much, I would have loved to have a child with him. I had a hysterectomy 4 years before I met him, so it was impossible. If both of you are able and both agree DO IT!!

No, lots of people are having kids in their 40's nowadays. So if you are both healthy and can cope with little kids, then go for it!

Ask yourself that question. If you're thinking it might be "gross", it isn't. Many people have their children much, much later than you. Of course it's not! In my opinion, it's never too late.
Unless, you know. Menopause.

erm, are you female??? if you are, you still can have a child but the possibility of complications in childbirth is higher... and recovery for you might be slower too... at best you can get one child and adopt others if you want :)
